I think he's asking this because some schools don't allow their students to dye their hair, and thier main excuse for that is that it changes their behavior.

I personally don't think about my hair durring the day. Which is probably what makes it such crap. >_< The hair I have wouldn't change the way I act, and I don't think it would change the way anyone acts.

People change their clothes all the time and that doesn't make them act any different, so changing their hair would most likely have the same effect.

Schools are always looking for excuses to justify oppression, since their main purpose is not actually to educate, but rather to fill your time and your mind with useless information while instructing you in the art of conformity.
If your school has a rule about what sort of hairstyle you can have, it's well beyond time to find yourself another school.
That said, there is demonstrable evidence that altering one's appearance can alter one's behavior, but it depends on situation and circumstance, as well as the personality and "normal" behavior of the person in question.
A simple hairstyle change is not going to change who you are or how you act, however, if it increases your self-esteem or confidence due to people complimenting you or treating you better, or because it allows you to feel more like your true self instead of a repressed "normie" trying to be what others want you to be, then the effect might be noticeable, though it's unlikely it would be very pronounced.
More likely the opposite of the school's assertion would be correct, in that a change in one's behavior could very well lead to a change in hairstyle.

Luckly, my school doesn't care.
Once, a kid said f*** right next to a teacher, the teacher simply said:
"Cool it!"
The only thing they ban is t-shirts with cuss words on them.

my old school had a rule that your hair couldn't be longer than shoulder length (if you were male). And everyone seemed pretty fine with that.

I've always had my hair fairly short, but recently i;ve grown it a tiny bit longer (most people would probably say it's short still), and i need to start putting gel or wax in it... but it's not changed me in the slightest. i was just to lazy to get it cut, and thought i;d go for a change.

I think sometimes all that hairspray goes to people's hair... like a lot of my friends last year went with the blonde hair fad. Some of the girls even started to act ditsy.. that was weird, I'm glad their out of that stage.

lmao :D

As PhranK said, the only way that changing one's hair would change their personality would be if either:
1. they had psychological issues; or
2. their change in appearance affected the way in which others act when around the person in question.
In that way, changes in clothes could also have a similar affect.

I was thinking of dying my hair black with red streaks, but I decided against it due to the way others would react. Then again, that just brings up the issue of conformity. Bah, I hate the concept of conformity.

My first reaction is that the "changing your hair changes your attitude" theory is a load of bologna. But now that i think of it, the true question is...Why did the person change their hair in the first place? :)

Nope. If anything, people with a certain attitude are more likely to dye their hair, but even that can not be applied because everyone is going to be different. I just today put red streaks in my hair and I made Dean's list at my university and am quite devoted to my education.
