HELP GUYS i have a virus on my computer! Last night it was fien , today when i got on i cannot open links , i have blue boxes over my ads and now , when i go to a site it says this may be read by another person !!! my ad aware , spybot s+d and , Norton arent picking up anything! HELP , noone else plays my computer , and do not have access to it , help!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

IT DEFINATLY IS! I CANNOT OPEN LINKS , everytime i click add reply it says : when you send info over the internet it might be possible for someone else to read it , and also , even if i click dont show again it keeps saying it over and over! |

Lol... that's not a virus.. That means your security settings are high! You can change them in your internet properties. Most schools have this.. |

ok it started working again (i think when i changed it down lower) are you sure that was the problem ? the signs were , blue bars around the ads ... couldent click on links ... and couldent use active x , why would blue bars go around the edges of ads though? though? |

Yep... because in the secruity.. It changes java down and it changes Active X.. Both of these can force scripts on your computer by going to certain sites. When security is high it will prompt you with everything.. The lower then the more vulnerable you are. I would just hit "Set to Default". |

okay... calm down son.... just go to: Start>Programs>Accesories>Sytem Tools>System Restore, set the date back to before you had these occurances and all wil lbe fixed... hopefully. It won't delete saved files, jsut aded registry and installed exe files...and, some other stuff i don't know about. Its not surefire solution, but it should work. |

We don't think he had a virus... yea look out this can delete files.. (Doesn't work on Win 98 or lower). |
