I was suspended from school for accessing "inappropriate" drives on the computer, and storing games on there....god, i even studied the bloody network contract before hand to make sure they cant nail me, but NO, they had to find some stupid exuse....they said i was disrupting other people's usage of the computer, when i did not modify ANY of their files.....they said that due to me putting games in there, and this other guy distributing the shortcuts that are not too easy to get, people played games during class , thus disturbing their using the computer....like HELL! they played due to their OWN choice!

and whats more?

after being suspended in accordance to the so called
"school act", i have done my research and found that there is actually no such thing as the School Act.

the only thing near what they are suggesting is this:

----------
Canada School of Public Service Act

1991, c. 16
----------

but it is not the act in which they referred to, because the short
title of this act is:

----------
SHORT TITLE

1. This Act may be cited as the Canada School of Public Service Act.

1991, c. 16, s. 1; 2003, c. 22, s. 22.
----------

I am so upset right now...
shows how stupid the administration are...

Upset or not, watch the language. Minor as it may be :yoda:
yea ok yoda, but please dont replace the ******* with upset, im not the kind of person that gets upset. and i dont think thats a swear word either...or is it just me?

Change it again and school won't be the only place you're suspended from //S

Gah, that'd tick me off too. They just anted to nail you with anything so you'd get away from them for a few days. Did you ever do anything in the past that annoyed teachers, but they culdn't do anything to you?

well, if the computers were in class rooms, you shouldn't be installing games on them. Being suspended only because of that is a bit questionable.
IMO and ready to be hammered lol.

the computers were in classrooms, but the only time i installed them myself was during lunch, when we are allowed to play. what the other people did during class was completely their descression, and i should have no connection to it.

i have a due warning of suspension before because of spamming the network, yes, but they never had sufficient proof, though they filed it as i did it anyways.

and i've come up with a defence, which i will show to them tomorrow when my mom and i go see them.

---
Case 002 Defence - Draft 1
---
1. Network Account Application
- Do not use the network in such a way that you would disrupt the use of the network by other users.
I did not intend the disruption of use of the network by other users, nor did i accomplish that.
All other users were able to use the network, and no damages has been done.
Their playing computer games during class was solely their free choice, and it was a disturbance to the use of class time, not network.
Furthermore, I did NOT distribute the shortcuts to them.

- include, but not limited to.
If disruption of other's class time due to use of the network is deemed unacceptable as well, the only valid charge against me would be providing the resources, or more specifically, some of the games for them.
I did not intend for it, so it should not be penalised as severely (just like any legal case).

2. Letter Of Suspension
- In accordance with the School Act
There is, in fact, no "School Act".
The only similar act is the CANADA SCHOOL OF PUBLIC SERVICE ACT with the short title "Canada School of Public Service Act", thus, the letter of suspension had no apparent legal power.

3. Punished Personnel
I would also like to point out that I do not see it fit to punish me for what others have done, and I may provide you with a clear separation of responsibilities, which you are capable of proving the valid ness by comparing it with your records.

i always do have good arguments, or else i wouldent even take the risk, but sadly, the school administration are a bunch of ignorant people who probably wont take any of those in.

Wonder what they would say in there rule book is lets say you put a virus on there and put a icon on the desktop that said click me see what happenes(at your own risk!!)...

But you dont activate the virus they do when they click it.

Do not do this!

Just kinda funny O well you get a day off....or a few.....

I think it's Validity. o.O'

The administration sounds pretty darn idiotic. Suspending you like that. Sounds like that one story that said that someone got suspended for doing PHP. Idiots, they thought PHP was a drug.

I cracked my school's password for their comp! I laughed so much that they came over to see what I was doing. When the figured out what I did they suspended me for the rest of the day.

That was like 3 weeks ago though. I think they were just jealous.
