but, if two homosexual people married, they wouldn't get tax benifits for kids (unless they adopted)

Then what's the point of them being married? So they can brag?

And they should never, ever be allowed to adopt.

Yes, that's the answer to the world's problems! Let's say that everybody is a religion that they're not! Oh, and let's do it as an insult!

Gogf, dare I ask if you have a clue about marriage? Or indeed why gay people want equal rights?

It's not all about kids. I don't want kids, I know plenty of gay people and none want kids. I also don't plan on marrying but I know plenty who would like to.

Equal rights is all about treating everyone the same. Is it ok to deny women rights to vote? No. Is it ok to make all black people slaves? No. So why is it ok to prevent gay people from showing how much they love each other in a simple ceremony?

I know a gay couple who married and they don't have, nor plan on having any, kids. Marriage has, by tradition, been about showing love. It's only now that being married also gives you extra rights. If marriage was purely for the kids, why would people be so bothered about it?

Why not then give gays a "marriage" without benefits? The point of the benefits is for the raising of kids?

Anywho, I think gay marriage is still wrong.

There are, of course, people who want kids and there's no reason to deny them that right. At least not if you're an open minded person who actually has experience of the world and cares about humans.

I wouldn't care about marrying without those rights and there are others who wouldn't too but there are those who do and deserve them. I know plenty of gay couples who would be a damn sight better at being parents than some heterosexual folk. Why? Because they're gay? No, because parenting has nothing to do with your sexuality.

I must admit it is wrong, the desion to do this is up to the induviual.
As long as they don't start trying to make people gay, I 'm ok with it.
As long as it is up to their desion and they don't force people to do it.

But it's not "rights," it's "benefits" for child raising.

I really hate to close this, but I don't want to let things get edgy in here.

I think they should be allowed to marry if they wish. No valid reason not to.

Actually, it should be closed, because staff can still reply, and I will.

You people disgust me, as usual.
With the exception of OcelotJay, who's the only one making any sense, as usual, and Lothy, though she didn't go into detail.
But even OcelotJay didn't counter the argument that "gays should never, ever be allowed to adopt", which is just as baseless and asinine an argument as any other put forward here.

Sexual orientation has absolutely nothing to do with your ability to parent.
Ignorance and bigotry does.

Anyone who's against gay marriage, or gays adopting, or gays displaying their affection for each other in public, or anything else that's considered acceptable for heterosexuals, is just as detestable as those who were/are against interracial marriage, interracial adoption, interracial couples displaying their affection for each other in public, etc.
