Doesnt it just wind you up when you offer support to someone, and then about five-ten minutes later someone differant will reply with the exact same thing you did and say "oops, didnt realise"

A lot of times when people do this it's because someone else is posting at the same time they are and they don't know that the other person is posting, but if someone replies and hten another person replies 5-10 minutes later saying the same thing you did then they're just trying to get their post count up.

I understand if they are a minute apart, as it takes that long to reply to a post..

You will probaly know when someone posted the same thing on purpose, or on accident.

If you don't see a Edit sign, and that person says "Oops, I'm beaten!", then that is fake. That person is just trying to get posts. I think that people do this on purpose just to get their post count higher. I really hate it. I don't care about my post count. >_<

I have seen that happen nearly 5 times last week. I am very tired of it. They should probaly read Seth's topic as well. I think that when they are done typing what they need to type for a Support Answer, they should copy all of what they wrote and refresh the page. Then see if a member already answered. I do this all the time and it works. ^_^

That annoys the hell out of me, but not only in support. When you say something later someone replies with the exact same thing. It's like you're invisible.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone actually reads my posts :/

Haha ditto. But like arcadia mentioned, people do it just to boost their post count, which is pointless because it gets them nowhere.

Here's what I do:

I refresh the reply page and look if someone posted, then I decide if I should post or not.

Edited for clarity.

THats exactly what I do, also I look to see if anyone else is browsing the topic the same time I am, if no one is currently browsing it then I go ahead and reply.

That's what I mainly said

I wish this what posted in General Support and Pinned. So all the "Volunteers" can see it.

I do.

I'm not sure what annoys me more: people giving the same reply five minutes later or giving the WRONG reply five minutes later. <_< One of the 25 reasons I rarely dare step foot on the support board, it's rediculous.

Bless the new support volunteer rule, the stupid folk shall be wriggled out! ^_^
