Yellowstone National Park is erupting. (Thousands estimated dead already) I'm watching it on TV right now on the Discovery Channel called Super Volcano. Find out more here:

http://www.msnbc.com/USEruption

This is just a tv show showing what could happen if it did erupt and it's a pretty good documentary. Sorry if I scared you. Anyone else watching it or what do you think if it did erupt? Here's some more info:

The show said the ash from the super volcano could cover the whole earth. It once (when it erupted a long long time ago) almost wiped out th human race.

Edit: They just showed a graph...Where I live we will give about 1cm of ash or less. :D :D

Mount Vesuvius destroyed a large area around it when it erupted a long long time ago.

if I still have my chart I did for 5th grade I can probley tell you a bit of the damage volcaonies have done in the past. my be a bit out of date but meh, it's fine.

mount vesuvius, Italy

year - 79
year - 1631

killed (79) - 3260
killed (1631) - 3500

and corrding to the chart Tambora, indoensia the year 1815 killed 92,000 people.

it is huge, and it's right on my right foot right now. as I said it may be a bit out of date but o well.

Won't help much if it covers the earth with ash, or the sky with an ash storm. :eh:

I wonder if this is the programme I saw a few years ago or is it new? Meh, I spose if humanity is gonna die then we deserve a choice: natural disaster, choking on our own fumes or a war. Life is fun.

I say we move to mars, less worry there. We might need to paint it a bit, red looks awful on such a large scale.

In my tired state I've completely forgotten whether it's program or programme here in the U.K.

Crazy Americans and their refusal to put U's in words like Colour.

There was a similar program(me) on U.K. television recently.

ha. try german. words in english (like hand) is actually german. hand is english/german but in german it's said diffrent. foot is 'fub' (with the b looking diffrent). You may or may not find this funny but 'gift' in English atually means 'poison" in german. no joke. look it up on google and i'm sure you will get 'gift' as the translation.

if i'm right some porquase (country next to spain (south west) ) has some of the same words as spanish. It's weird how some lanagues are based off others like english off of German.

anyway. if EVERY volanco erupted now that would probley really get the oozone layer and the air and clogging it up.

I Dont belive that.

It is true. Imagine a porportianally blown version of St. Helens. No question about it, that "super volcano" will rock the Earth. The results will be devestating.
