The US gov has been hacked, and your telling me IF is more secure?

US gov: many people working at the servers. Which means many ways of getting access needed for all those people. Results in lots of access paths that need to be secured. It's like a house with many doors, you need to secure all those doors to keep the burglars out.

IF: Only one person needs access to the servers. Only one acces path needs to be secured. That's like a house with only one door.

Not even iF is indestructible, so we better watch out.

IF is indestructable. It's too secure.

On another note... what ddi the attack?!

How would you know it's "indestructable?" <_<

Everything CAN be hacked. The US gov has been hacked, and your telling me IF is more secure?  Seth said were more secure, not that it was virtuall impossiable to hack.

Each board is nearly impossiable to get into without cracking, because the admin session url is encoded using a high encription method, and changes all the time.

The second part's a good point-but the first..not so much. :P I believe that to connect to any of the servers, you'd have to access them through Duffy's own PC [correct me if I'm wrong, and I could be. :arr:.]

So, it's immune to the hacking you're thinking of. And like I've said-IF is VERY secure. Which means your typical script-kiddie hacker can't get in-and those that're skilled enough to do it..probably could only damage a server or so [unless the access into the servers goes through the same process? o_o.] And I personally think Brandon has things backed up to an extent, so I doubt it'd be "OH NOES IF GONE 4EVA!".

..But, "I could be wrong"(tm). :r

Weather duffman is the only person or not it's regardless. It is possiable to hack it through his PC. Just very very hard.

Stealth..didjya read the post? :P I think you have to connect Duffy's PC to a server to do work on it [could beh wrong.] And if that's the case..I don't care if your the most "1337 haxor$!!" on Earth, it wouldn't make sense. How can you hack a wire to connect itself between two PC's? XP

I bet Brandon's PC is not connected to the net.

No net access = not hackable.

unless his PC is LANed to the PCs hosintg IF (Which are NOT even hosted at his house) he couldn't access them.

And I did read Seth's post, but if he had hacked his pc and installed a remote admin tool he would have as good as phisical access to the computer, and thus to the IF servers.

I'm not sure, but I bet theres one out there somewhere..

Well, all in all it's possiable if you really have no life and live in your parents basement..... (Speaking of, I need to move out, send me money);)

It's very very improabable, To the improbability drive!

O seth... your remember ritter? He told me he hacked IF, and got your password withen seconds ;) LMAO... I doubt he could hack at all.

Please, let's not waste our time arguing over how hard or how easy or if it would be possible to hack/crack/infiltrate/demolish/destroy InvisionFree. The fact of the matter is, you and your board are safe on InvisionFree.

That's all that really matters.

Um.... He said he would use it "when the time is right", or mabey it was something along the lines of "I could have done some real damage but I dodn't want too" , "why?", "I like duffman, but hate Seth, I'll take down his board so I don't affect IF/duffman"

And look, It's still standing... This was almost 8 months ago :D :D :eh:

And if you remember the XQuantim or something, he was afraid of getting caught and arrested ;)

Well, fine I'll dorp drop it..
