Post Count?; Got me thinking a little...

I personally am not a big fan of post counts, they do not prove your experience! I know some people who do not post at this board at all and are very familiar with IF. I think that if they replied to a support question then they could easily have it correct even though their post count is "3". I am not against the post count in anyway and do not think that it makes a big difference at all. Look at some of the moderators on this board, many of them have a small post count and they are probably the most expereinced people on IF.

Also the posts per day thing in the profile is totally misleading. Mine says something like 9.9 while I am active daily, but that is low because after I first joined I left for 3 months, because I was young and didn't know what I was doing.
Now I make atleast 20 ... I think :arr: :ph34r:

Excellent point, Das Ein. Here's an idea: instead of having an actual number for post count, why not just show pips instead?

I like this idea. Though I noticed after 3000 it takes a thousand plus posts to get higher in pips.
