I'm wondring how would I set a diffrent skin for a forum for me to see (alone). Like say I wanted to view SubSilver of PHPBB on here, how would I get that skin to show for me?

And yes Phrank I am aware of the PM. Is a bit confusing though.

To convert PHPBB skins to InvisionFree, you have to match the colors and parts of the PHPBB skin to match the IF Skin. Yes, it's a very hard process; there is no easy solution or converter as of now.

It shouldn't be too hard, really, especially if you try one of the extensions for doing it, if you use Firefox, that is.

I'm not familiar with the skin you're talking about though, and if I recall, phpBB allows for more flexibility, doesn't it?
In any case, there may be stuff in the phpBB skin that has no counterpart in IF, so you might not be able to get it too exact, but you could probably come close.

If you were to do it the way I did, you'd most likely want to create a separate Firefox profile you would use whenever visiting the forum whose skin you want to override, otherwise it could make other sites look goofy or maybe even unusable.

You could also try using something like this.

Either way, you just have to find all the parts you want to change and then find the corresponding part in the other skin.
Backgrounds and category headers and such should be easy enough, but to do everything could take some effort if the skins are really different.
Notice that in my CSS mod I basically only tried to get rid of all the white/very light blue from this forum, and the grey from the top navbar, which I just thought looked pretty cool when replaced with the gradient.

I changed a couple things, then saved the userContent.css file, restarted Firefox because you have to or it won't register the changes, then found some other stuff I wanted to change and added the new lines of code and re-saved, repeat, repeat, until I had something acceptable.

Was there a specific part you were having trouble with?
