Ok here is the score. I am running Phpdev on my main system, which uses php4. This was alright before, but i am now using classes which as you probably know are supported much better in php5.

The problem is phpdev doesn't have a version including php5, which means i have to do it manually.

This is going to go on my laptop.

I have no idea what i am doing, so could somebody tell me the files i need and how to install them...btw, i want to have php5 and mysql.

i am not bothered about gd or anything, just php5 and mysql, oh, and also phpmyadmin

If anybody could help i would appreciate it. or if somebody has a version of phpdev running 5, that would be even better.

I just did this a few days ago. It is real easy to install apache and php5 yourself.

If you still need to do this, I suggest using wamp. It installs PHP5, mysql, apache and phpmyadmin for you.
