I now run a full IPBv1.3 boards hosted by a friend [until I own my own, small hosting. ], and an IF board or two. And my question is..are some of the scripts used in IF 'codes' today referring to sections of IF's internal structure, that is different from a regular IPBv1.3's?I ask this, because I tried out an "Advanced Member Legend" on Invisionfree, and it seemed to work fine. Where as, even when going in and trying to edit some of the structure of the HTML Template on a skin at my IPB Forum, it was a no go. Several other 'codes' have produced this effect, and it's got me curious. I know IF's structure is fairly different from the default IPB's now, but would it be true that these scripts cater to that difference, or are just made to generally work for an IPB board of this sort, and I probably just goofed something critical? I ask this merely out of curiousity [since I love customizing files forum-wise, like the My Controls section, for example.] Is the main structure of InvisionFree THAT different?

IF boards are indeed that different. Many codes will have issues. |

When the IF2 upgrade happens, the difference will be much greater too |

IF2 will be an upgraded version of the current boards, you can/should register your board, and then it'll automatically get updated. |
