I have no idea whatsoever where to post this but I'm guessing this COULD be right???? Anyway, I'm seriously getting stressed about this now. There's this person/group of people who have somehow got my email address (they probably just Imed any random address knowing my luck), and now they keep sending me IMs on AIM (its an aol email address) with a link to a site with porn pictures by college students. it's really grossing me out. I've been blocking the email addresses, but they keep setting up new accounts and sending me more IMs. Now I'm getting at least 5 of these IMs a day and each time i block the email, they just get a new address and use that. Short of changing my email address, is there any other way I can stop this? Is there a way to block IP addresses from AIM? Please help, I'm desperate now! |

Firstly, AIM E-Mail? Ehwwwww. GMail, Juno, etc. > ALL that is AOL, save AIM itself. And that's a close one. XP Secondly, just ignore their e-mails. Only open ones you know the sender of. Or, get a new E-Mail address...aaaaaAAAT GMAIL.COM-moving on. [Ahem.] Really-you could also report the senders as spammers to this E-Mail service, delete the e-mails on the spot..or if you're bored & evil, send them worse things in return until they never contact you again.

Yeah but thats the problem, they keep changing their email address. The only way i could report them would be to report the IP address, but I dunno if you can detect that from AIM...
LMAO! I'm gonna have to try that now, just to see their reaction! |

lol I hate aol. It keeps disconnecting me, is forever having "errors", they dont respond when you contact them over stuff, their helpline is *** and they're just basically crap! Why do I end up being forced to use it? Cos Dad paid a years subscription to them a few months ago, and he refuses to change until it runs out, just to get his money's worth! Grr! Anyway, yeah, back on topic... Oh well, I'll just go on blocking the email addresses. Thanks

Don't EVER reply to spam e-mail. That just confirms that someone is actually reading it, and you'll get more. |

heres what to do if theyre sending the IMs to you on aim goto your aim options or preferences and change the security and privacy settings so you can only be IMd by either people you know or you have to accept an IM by clicking the accept IMs from "name" trying to IM you as for the sending nastier things, it works also it happened to my gf, a friend of hers known as animal (because he can be an arse at times) found out her msn password, changed it then logged in as her and started flirting, chatting up, and asking for sex with every guy she had on her msn addy list, so what she did was kinda mean but he got his gettings, she went to a few gay porn sites and signed him up for it so he got thousands of newsletters a day, she did the same for animal porn to ironically mock his name "animal" it was a bit...stupid all and all but he got what he deserved

Can't you set AIM to block everyone who isn't on your list? Like on msn? I use msn (I hate microsoft, I wanna use Google Talk, but sadly msn is better...) |

Code a PHP program that'll loop the mail() function at least 100 times to their addresses. Then set up cron jobs to have it run every 2 minutes.

She means AOL E-Mail, not AIM. And Dennis, most spam e-mails are auto-sent and are not checked nor monitored on responses whatsoever. O.o; Some are, granted. But it's still dahm' good fun to e-mail "omfg u newb if u dun stahwp SPAMEENG ME!? iell MAKE u stop spameing me!!!!!!!!1!!!!! i weel get t3h server 2 ban u and get uber HAX 2 pwn u u dam noob LMFAO!@U!!!!". |

there once was a email i had... needed to use the web-login to access it. you could type up a email, click submit and hold enter. the person would get LOADS of copies of it. another thing you can do is make a auto responder in 2 different email accounts. you get the auto responders to send a email back to where it came from AND to the person u wanna spam. then send a email on 1 of the email addresses you set up ![]() oh and leave it to 'heat' overnight. now who wants to see my acidental indefinate loop, i swear this 1 was a acident... nearly made msn freeze. |

In icredimail you have a 'bounce bac' feature where it makes it seem that the the send was unsucessful. promise you, they'll give up if you do it religiously. |
