The part between <?php and ?> seems to be right. The part above the <?php would just be diplayed on the HTML page..... So
is good to use in a script. ![]() Oh, and if the data is secret, you may want to encrypte it. ![]() (But you should learn that in that tutorial... if its a decent one) |

Hey, how do you get the cookie to be sent? I'm working on an alert pop-up, and I'm trying to make it where it sends out a cookie, that expires in 24hours, so when ever you clicked on a new page, it wouldn't send the pop-up alert for 24 hours, after the 24 hours, once you click on a page (on the forum the code is in) it pops it up once again, and sends another cookie for 24 hours. Is it possible? |

That should just about do it. (Though I'm not much of an expert on cookies) |

I can't get it to work. The alert pops up, but, it doesn't send a cookie and it continuesly keeps on popping up when I click another page... Hmm, I'm going to try something where it pops up to the persons IP 3 times, 1 pop-up every hour. And then, it blocks that IP from seeing the pop-up / having to click 'OK' or the 'X' to close the pop up.. Thanks Again Though, lol. |

There's nothing wrong with the coding given. I'm using the same exact code, excluding the values of the cookie, and the cookie sets no problem. 1. Make sure your page ends in .php 2. Make sure you don't have security settings on your browser that may be blocking the cookie. 3. Make sure the cookie is set before output is printed to the page. This includes white space. |
