I thought the book was OK, but the film was about as good as the others, and would have been better were it not for the rushed scenes at the beginning. I'd have quite happily accepted a 3-hour film and a more complete beginning. |

Goblet of Fire is my favourite Harry Potter book and I have been looking forward to seeing the movie for a long time. I went to the midnight showing on Thursday 17th (technically 18th as it started at midnight). I thought the film was extremely fast paced and felt less of the dragon scene and more of the Quidditch World cup would have made it better for me but all in all I loved it. I thought the acting this time around was far better, although Emma did occasionally go wooden. By far the best actor for me was the bloke that played Madeye Moody. A lot more laughs in this film and it was longer but some things they shouldn't have left touched, such as the words Voldemort uses in the book during the graveyard scene were far better than what was said on screen when they deviated from it a bit. Going again next week and I'm really looking forward to it. ![]() Oh and one more thing - Krum is MINE! :w00t: Belle |

I saw it the day it came out. It was a wonderful production. The visuals were stunnimg. It looked like everything was real, especially the maze. It looked like a real place. It was the best movie of the saga so far. |
