I have no problem with blood or needles... I just get really woozy whenever I have blood drawn.
They checked that when I donated blood and I seemed to be fine. |

Did I hear the word needles? *faints* Okay, I won't faint, but I do freak out, which is quite out of character for me That IV I had to have once.... they had to sedate me ahead of schedule because I couldn't stop crying enough to cooperate with the docor >_< Pain, when you know it's coming, yeah... can't do it

The needle hurts a bit when it's inserted into the vein, and it's an odd sensation to have it left there while your blood drains. Not overly traumatizing, except if you have a weird body like mine that wishes to keep all it's blood.

It feels quite odd. I've given blood lots of times. And yes, the needles are pretty fat, to allow the blood to be drawn at a certain speed, I assume. Probably the strangest thing is the sensation of cold as all your nice, warm blood is spirited away. You're supposed to eat and hydrate properly beforehand and such, to help prevent fainting and whatever else. Anyway, I'm all for organ/tissue/whatever donation. It's bad enough that we waste so much real estate and resources burying people, but doing it without first removing desperately needed organs is somewhere beyond silly. |

It doesn't help that the nurse that gave me the IV wasn't that great, left me a huge bruise and it was pretty painful when she did it like she was being really rought with my tineh arm :'( I had to have shots a long time ago, at the beginning of the 7th grade. I was still terrified but it wasn't as bad as the IV. They stuck it in my upper arm and it was terrible. I still cried though >_<

Sweet. Nice find. I knew there were several religions that have issues with this, but it was all a vague blur in my brain.
My last IV was stuck some absurd distance up into the big vein on the back of my left hand (while I watched). Not sure why they did it that way.

Well, since I'm dead . . . might as well harvest whatever use you have left from me. Soylent green is people too. ![]() I'm also going to get cremated so that I don't rot in the ground, which is something I don't fancy doing. Hopefully that won't have to occur for another ninety years or so.

They do, they need to come back to reality and stop living in the past. |

You'll also save graveyard space, and thus maybe save a tree and some grass which could potentially be home to an animal or bug. Environmentalist, I like your thinking. :w00t: I'm definitely giving my organs away. More people need to do that kind of thing.
