Internet Explorer randomly opens up. Sometimes IE comes up when I load the computer which is fine. But other times I could be playing a game, posting here, doing anything and it just pops up. It only pops up once. Then when I shut down and turn the computer on again it will come up again. It has never randomly opened up twice during one session. (session= being on the computer). I was just wondering if anyone knew why it does this and if I could make it stop. It gets really annoying playing a full screen game and suddenly IE pops-up and makes you close. :/ |

@_@ Hmm..never solely trust Norton, a lot of things go wrong with it and it is quite easy to bypass it. Get Webroot. It'll help defend you. =) |

Not nessicarly. I have Norton 2005 System works, definitions update to date yet a few days ago I had three virus on this computer. Norton says nearly everything that is done on the computer: Programs opening Programs Closing Games Played Files downloaded Files Uploaded I think actually everything is scanned. If it picks up like a 'virused' file it will alert you can ask weather you want to delete the file or locks it up (can't type the correct word). Oh and it scans for much more than just a virus: ![]() |

Maybe you have some sort of updater or scheduled task or something that's trying to execute but isn't working right? |
