On my older computer, I need the CD to repair a file. No other methods works for me like safe mode because it does not start-up at all. Now the problem is that I lost the CD. Is there anyway to fix this. Oh, I also don't have a start-up disk or recovery disk.

The only way to fix it is to get a new CD.
(Or maybe the windows system recovery can help you. Most off the time it doesn't do much though. :\ )

Yeah that is the problem though, it won't even start up. It says one of the files is corrupted and needs to be repaired. I have a windows xp start up disk, would there be any way to install that over proffesional with out starting windows?

Unfortunately, you need the CD unless you have the CD's contents copied to a hard disk somewhere. I think Microsoft sells replacement disks for cheap, or you could always look for it again. :/

Sry.....

Then again, you could just make a copy of someone else's disk, but be sure your burning software copies the boot partition (I don't know if that's what its called) too.

Please note: I do not approve of illegal copying of Windows disks, just copies for yourself if you own a valid license.

if there's no other choice, get a copy from a friend...

Have you tried booting in Knoppix? It'll read your NTFS drives unless you've encrypted the files.

Not sure what that means  . This is the error message I get.

your system is prob missing a dll or something.

It's your computers problem, not php's.

I don't know the answer, but that'd help soomeone else figure it.
