So, what do you think about the universe? - Does it actually go on forever? Ya, you learn in science of the "Boom" and that the Universe is expanding every second. But if you think about it, if the universe is expanding what's that part of the universe that's beyond the expanding part.

I was given the example of the balloon. You take it and make it real smal and place stars on it, then blow it up and it expands and everything moves further apart. Well what's that layer of the balloon compared to the Universe.

If you think REAL HARD, how does the universe work. In our lifestyle and the way we live and what we learn in school, nothing makes sense as to HOW the Universe can have no end. If it has no end, that means it has to be always moving outward, but what is that PART, what's the "THAT" which is moving outward for the Universe. No matter how hard I think of what or how the universe can work, I don't see a solution. The universe CAN't have an End, but then again it HAS to have an end.

So what does everyone think the universe is and how is it.

I think it is in sections and all of them are connected by wormhole.

but you said the universe is of four sections and connected by a wormhole. That's your definition of the universe, then if you say their's other life, then that's part of the universe. The universe is supposedly of all matter and everything in the WHOLE universe!! So ya... >_<

That's one of those fun things to think about :D

I rather like the concept of string theory, though the math is completely beyond me. The idea of extra dimensions outside human perception is just SO cool. Especially one scenario that I read in Popular Science a couple of years ago...At the time they thought that our 4 dimensional universe could exist "beside" another 4 dimensional universe, separated by a two dimensional divider :D

mmm...Things to make your brain explode.

Ya it does. And the way you said it as this being beyond our knowledge so say, this would be a good way put into the subject what happens when we die. Some things are just so out of imaginary that they seem impossible to us, so most people may not think much of dieing and "Oh, we just die" - Well it's out of our minds to think of what would happen. So I'd say anything could be possible. If this universe being a certain demension that just isn't learned in math and not the greatest mathamatic could think of, it still hard to think about it.

Even it it's in a dimension, I just try to think well what's beyond THAT dimension. There just always has to be something beyond something else.

* What's also fun that I learned is that you know how it takes time for light to travel. Well if the Stars are thousands of lightyyears away, that mean the light from the star is actually being reached to us from the past.

So for example, if a star is 3 lightyears away from earth, then by the time the light leaves the star, it will take at least 3 real years to reach us, so if I go out and look for a star now, I am looking into the PAST!! So I'm actaully looking back into like the year 2003 >_< Get it, it's cool.

Quantum-locked when observed.

Douglas Adams basically sums it up well:
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Now I'm trying to search for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's Universe quote but can't find it. . . . I know it's around somewhere. :D

:/  What's that mean. For one thing, lol of Course it was created, that's obvious since we're all here. And also, rofl who are the people to have considered it a bad move CONSIDERING were they there before the universe was created? That quote's got me confused. >_<

ACtually if i'm not mistaken the light from the sun takes a mere 8 light minutes to reach us (it takes 8 minutes or 480 seconds [i think]. So yes we do see what the sun was like in the past (only 8 minutes to be a exact I think]. I for some reason like Cosmology better or equal to American history. I also do like the string theory, and the idea that there are things smaller than Protons, Neutrons, and electrons (but how much "smaller" are we going to get with "this makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up (object), (object) makes up Electrons, neutrons, and protons . . .).

You know, there could be many other civilizations in outer space thinking the same thing we are: "Is there life out there besides the planet (Insert Planet Name here)?"

Hmm..

I think that another life form is out there somewhere else other than here. There must be, I mean, what are the chances of an infinity expanding place and we are the only ones that have "life".

It makes you think what "life" is though. Is it people? Animals? Something the breaths? If so, there must be. Maybe there is something else that is the equivalent of life. Somewhere else life could be something completely different.

I think that there is life on Mars. I think so. I'm not sure why.. I just do.
I'm not sure if it is big, or small.. But I think that it is out there somewhere..

I have always imagined that there's another universe in which there's a life like on Earth . . . It's so complex. :ermm:

I believe there is no physical end to our universe. However, our universe will have en end, which the "Big Bang" will once again begin.

I completely agree with you there, we have achieved many things man kind thought was impossible, so what can stop us from accomplishing our next goal?

Not only are you looking into the past, but possible be looking at a star that no longer exist, but instead known as a black hole.

When you think about it, when looking at any light, objects, humans etc. you're looking into the past, even though light is extremely fast, it still behind individual time.

That's my theory anyway.
