Why not just make it so that only 1 click per ip address actually counts on the directory?

That's actually a great idea...hm. Wonder if Brandon and them will consider or do it.

I totally knew that.

Wait, if most people using AOL have same IP address. Wouldn't that mean if more then one person with same IP address on a forum could be actually different?

Absolutely. I've used AOL on a few of my friend's computers, and whenever I visit Wikipedia, it always says that I have new messages for my IP.

Also called proxies. If someone won't stop coming on, it's cause they have AOL.

I don't think the AOL thing is the same as a proxy. Proxies are different.

Proxies are adding an additional server at the end of the "chain" for different reasons. One would be to remain hidden. Others would be to surf "non-work related sites" at work without getting caught. :r

i agree with what i think kronin(greek?) said that you should talk to the members and warn them if i read his post correctly..on a side note i hate rolling IPs
