Should I call the police?

There's a car driving backwards up and down my empty street, swerving back and forth. The idiot nearly hit a neighbor's car, and he/she has already knocked over the recycling out on people's curbs. I'm kind of freaked out... god forbid the guy hits my neighbor Bruce's (who is a Ninjitsu expert) car. Should I call someone?

I wouldn't call 911, but I would contact the police. This is suspusious(sp?) activity, and it should be reported. I'm sure some other person has called the cops already.

Yeah don't call 911 but I'm sure your local police department has another number for minor things (should be in the phonebook).

How is this only minor? :/ If anyone is walking by, they could get hit, and he could do property damage. This is more than minor, people. :ermm:

Call the cops.

Yeah, call your local police station. Somebody near me got shot by a car going up and down the street like that.

I'd call.

I had a similar experience a few years back. Some fool was driving in reverse, jumped a curb and spun out in my neighbors yard (totalled the lawn) and there were kids out playing (it was memorial day, everybody was outside barbacuing.....the driver was drunk). So, the cops show up...but by that time he had stopped. So they tell me "We know it was that guy you pointed out. His engines hot, and there's mud and grass on the tires from that yard he spun out in......but, we didn't catch him doing it, and he's inside of his house now....so we can't do anything."

I was furious :@

Call the police, the person involved is probably drunk. Just don't panic a lot. It's definitely not a major issue. :)
