I am in a rather unique situation here, i am the clan leader of a RTCW clan, in october one of our members started a s2.invisionfree site, set it up, all was fine, left for thanksgiving with grandparents, upon return was notified that his sceduled basic training for the air force was moved up by 8 weeks, he left a few days later, then the s2 server crashed, i, having Admin/Moderator rites redid the site the best that i could not knowing html/php by poke n hope, its working fine i think but am having a few problems, before the crash i could move, delete, posts, topics, now moderator options only deal with topics, on the bottom says moderator options, i click go and tells me i dont have permission for this, i gave myself all moderator options in Admin CP. next, last night i registered a domain name at dot.tk , www.phantomclanrtcw.tk Visitors can visit, members can log in, i can log in to the Admin CP, BUT when trying to log in to the private section, i put in password, it tells me i have been granted permission, then goes back to the insert password screen, i checked all the permissions in Admin CP and nothing has changed If i log in through our normal url, everything works fine, i dont understand how redirecting a url would change access once inside the site, if anybody has any insite to why this would do this please tell me, i have e-mailed .tk's tech support and awaiting an answer. thank you Shiza |

IF and redirectors aren't the best match. As for your first problem, do you also have all the admin permissions?

I used to use DotTK redirection for my board. It screws up the cookies required for a password-protected forum to work right. If you still want to use the DotTK, just set up the private forum using permission masks. It hides the forum completely from those you don't want accessing it.
