Jeremy (or maybe Seth) has already said that InvisionFree doesn't use MySQL. I would like to know what InvisionFree's backend is? :P

It uses a mix of stuff. Mostly MySQL using InnoDB tables and MyISAM tables.

Version of IPB? Well, You use IPB's number. What do you think iF's number is? (2.6.2, 2.3.3, 1.0.1.. etc )

thats because the Invision Power Board Forums are running the latest Alpha build, which hasn't been released to the public.

Yup, that's because they want to see how the system works and also get public feedback on it at the same time. Amazing really, can't wait till IPB 2.0 releases!

v1.3.0b means it is IPB v1.3 Final, InvisionFree release 2 (b = 2). That is out of date, we are on 'd' actually. The .0 means it is final, v1.3 would mean it was still a beta or RC of IPB.
