Rule D is directed at your family and friends. If you actually see them playing recklessly it would be a good idea to take the wiimote away from them. Then you could avoid something like this: ![]() Happening to your face, or worse, your TV. (I say TV is worse because if it's broken you can't play your precious Wii games until you get a new one.) An ounce of prevention is worth that pound of flesh that can be taken off your face with a well placed wiismack. (I will never get tired of using that picture) |

The reason behind people swinging the remotes so hard because they don't get it that you only need to *move* the remote and not swing it like weapon. I've seen videos of people tossing the stupid Wii-mote even with the so-called "safety" wrist strap on. They don't realize that this will (probably) break the remote and other objects in their path. But Nintendo should've thought of a better design, or at least said, look, don't *throw* the remote while playing...

@wwefan420: The wiismack picture is hilariousXDD @blue_rangers_girl: I agree. People usually get too caught up with the wiimote and think of it as a weapon. The strap won't save you if you're going to throw it like a fishing rod in legend of Zelda: twilight princess or worse the wii sports. I guess htat's what happens when you feel in the game. |

I was talking about something similar to this a few days ago with my brother. It doesn't really surprise me that any of this happened -- you're always going to have accidents. |

I really find this issue stupid. If you swing around any controller and let go... it's going to hit something, probably break something. If you don't wear the wristband even though most games have the warning when you turn them on, then you shouldn't complain. As for snapping wrist bands, I've pulled on one as hard as I could. No break. |

lets not turn this into a PS3 versus Wii. simply put this Wii "problem" isnt actually a problem, people just needs to learn how to hold on to the remotes, some people are stupid. lol |

A bad name and Nintendo only having quite a lot of amazing games is quite a poor argument for PS3 being better than Wii when Sony and Microsoft don't really make games. There are plenty better arguments. As for this problem, it's true that people with small rooms will have problems and the straps are unreliable but if you just remind yourself to not get too excited or let go then you'll be ok. |

The whole Internet joke fad about Nintendo changing it from Revolution to Wii is long over. Revolution was the codename for it. Guess what the GameCube's code name was? Dolphin Guess what the N64's code name was? Ultra Guess what the DS's code name was? Nitro Revolution was the code name, symbolizing the change in gaming. |

I still want the Wii. If the remotes are flying everywhere, they should take out the remote style controller.

If you want to present your opinion, it helps to spell at least half of the words correctly. ![]() I think the controller is a perfect size. Not to big that you can't reach the buttons, but not too small that your hand over-powers it. |
