Ok, I am guessing from all the sites and topics people keep making anime is a big thing on other countries. Here in England however its not such a big thing.

Before I continue this topic I am not complaining about it and respect other peoples opinions so Do Not turn this into a argument.

Most people here in England, or in my area anyway anime is categorized as a children's program. You would usually find young people watching it on children's channels such as Cartoon Network.

My question is, how old are the people that watch these cartoons? I have absolutely no interest in them and never have. I never understood the point of them from the start. But I would like to know the age of the people that view the programs.

Please only vote if you watch these cartoons.

I'm 24 and have been watching anime(way different from your standard cartoons like Bugs Bunny and the like) since I was 16, when a good friend of mine got me into "DBZ"(Dragonball Z)

The only reason Cartoon Network gets away with showing anime like Fullmetal Alchemist(which is really good btw) is because it is cut up and re-done to suit american(and other countries that get the channel) audiences.

If you were to see this anime uncut, you'd realize *why* it is cut up and re-done. Granted most of the fight scenes are left slightly untouched(blood is shown, ect) not everything makes it past all the filters in place.

When you talk about Anime, it is Japanese. There are some things that aren't and are called anime anyway.

Not all anime series are good, but not all of them are crap either, it just depends on if you've seen the uncut or cut versions.
