Well, ol' Omi's in his 2nd semester of his Junior year, and I'm in that lovely "You need to plan out your next year! FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, DO IT OR WE'LL KILLCHYU!" phase they put us through every year.

Myself, I had a lot of absences in my earlier years.. which made my late sophomore/junior year thus far pretty.. interesting, let's say that.

BUT, I should be good for next year. Basic schedule, still being worked on [I love how they give you two trips to the counselor here instead of finalizing it in one shot], includes:

[Semester I:]
-English 12/7-8
-Government/Economics
-Geometry 1-2x
-Chemistry I/1-2
-Philosophy 1-2.
-Sociology 1-2.
-[Unsure.]

[Semester II:]
-Year-long.
-Year.
-Year.
-Year.
-Psychology 1-2.
-Comp App/Web Design Adv. [Currently in Web Design, kinda laid back but.. simple as Hell.]
-[Unsure.]

Not the best in areas, but hey.

I'm thinking, my last period should be a continuation of something workin' with AutoCAD, but I'm unsure of what exactly to go into [in my 2nd semester of Computers in Prod & Design 2.] But neh.

Anyone else here having to think up what courses they'll take fer' any highschool year? Or doth other schools do this at a different time, maybe ...? :Toad:

This thread reminded me that my school won't be on block schedule anymore next year.

So, this is a rough estimate of what it will look like (I was supposed to take two math courses next year, but it probably won't happen now because of the schedule system change):

Algebra 2 Honors [year]
Chemistry Honors [year]
English 2 Honors [year]
World History AP [year]
Spanish 1 [year]
Personal Fitness [semester], either basketball or weight training [semester]
Creative Writing [year.. i think]

That's next school year's schedule, in which I'll be a sophomore.

We plan out our high-school courses in the 8th grade. Here is what I have planned. We're allowed to change this any-time we want via a website. (My 2nd semester as a freshmen starts in about a week)

I am also taking Honors Psychology and an Internship for my freshmen year.

I think everyone does. I'm in my second semester as a freshman, and we planned out our freshman year in 8th grade too.

EDIT: nvm, I think I misunderstood your post.

We normally do the new subject picking around March, since the exams are in May and the new timetable starts in June. Fortunately, I don't have to go through the whole rigmarole of picking new subjects this year ^_^

The most coding my school offers is web design, which goes up to JavaScript.

I probably wouldn't take it anyways. Any classes that are left available after I have all my required classes I usually fill with an extra academic class or P.E. class.
