Hello. I have a main website that people go to where they can view stuff going around on theforum from there. They can get to the forum by clicking a link from there as well. My question... is there anyway to have the last 5 topics in my forum showing on my website page? To be specific...the last 5 topics from a certain board on my forum. |

You could conceivably do it with any forum software out there, but coding it might be a pain (I don't know, as I'm still a novice at PHP, MySQL, and Perl). |

You could have PHP / ASP / JSP request the page*. (I would suggest just opening a socket and requesting the page, but there are other ways) Then use string manipulation to filter out the part you want. *: what page depends. If its the same board as your portal draws its last posts from, you could use the portal page. Otherwise, just use the URL you get when you view the board. It would be harder to filter out the right information then with the portal, though. I'm not sure if your good at coding, and if any of this made sence to you.. but I hope it helped.
