Arghhhh

I re-formatted my computer and everything is fine apart from sound. :ermm:

I don't know what my sound card is but I need the drivers for it. Does anyone know how I can find out what sound card I have?! :-/

I'd use Aida32, a system profiler. It will tell you what sound card you have. :)

But when I download the drivers for this, the programme won't run, the install always stops and shuts. :-/

Send a support email to them asking for the drivers for that computer.

Maybe buy a new one. You should be able to get one for like 30 dollars. The sound card might have even died. You never know.

Even easier. Right Click on My PC, properties, hardware. There is an option in there that lists all the hardware in your computer. It will show your sound card with a red X (Since it is not installed). Right click on it and select "Upgrade Drivers" (or install drivers, something like that). I will let you chose if you want to download them from internet, and it will do the job for you
