Reports Unread?

I have repeatedly reported a board that is, quite obviously, breaking at least one of the Terms of Service. In one case, it's on-board cybersex that is very blatant and not in the least bit hidden.

However, though I and several others have reported this board, nothing has been done, including an email to any of our addresses to investigate the matter.

How long is too long to wait? The original report was sent in, by my guess, over four months ago.

Quantum-locked when observed.

Reports are done in batches, which is often the case of perceived delays. Additionally, Brandon personally attends to reported violations; the impending release of ZetaBoards is taking up quite a large chunk of his time. Reporting a board multiple times doesn't affect its chances of being closed--all it does is slow down Brandon, who has to mark the duplicate reports as such before going on to more reports.

We do investigate all reports thoroughly. However, we seldom contact those who report boards.

Even when it seems that no action has been taken, it may not be readily apparent because Brandon has contacted the board owner and/or taken other less overt steps prior to closure of the board.

Well, my question, then, is what really needs to be done with a board that has sexual acts done right out in the open, where youngsters can see them, and that also coordinates spam/PM attacks on other boards where such things are as against the rules as they are here?

It would seem that deleting it is the answer. But is it that bad? Link?

Do NOT post a link.

There are plenty of boards that do this. They are deleted as soon as Brandon gets to them. Brian actually tends to go through most reports and mark them to save time. But again duplicates only slow down Brian and Brandon.

lets see something i think theres 1,750,000 and going up daily and maybe lets say theres 100 reported bords per day you add that over a week you got 700 boards seth got to look at now prblaly half are really and half or not seth has to look at all of them so dont you think thats hard to do.

Oh, I don't doubt it's hard to do. But considering the seriousness of this particular infraction on the ToS, the fact that it's been reported several times, and the fact that there's been reports for the past few months, I'd think it'd get a little more priority than less serious infractions. To my mind, if something is reported several times, it just means you look at it faster, since it might be serious. In this case, it is.

Not all the times it means it is a serious matter, maybe someone who does not have anything else to do? They have already explained that Zetaboards is what is delaying the reports, the conversions, etc. Most of those things will remain undone until Zetaboards is finally released. Bu do not worry, it won't take that long ;)

It isn't that big of a deal. It is suggested, to not duplicate it, why do it? (This is a rhetorical question.)

This is completely incorrect. All it does is cause more work. Do you think that board is the first one with adult content? Do you think adult content boards aren't the first report priority? By making multiple reports you make more work. You delay the progress of the board you're reporting and more importantly you bury other reports of violations the same as yours or more dangerous ones like members being threatened etc. Your report is not the #1 priority. And no amount of reporting will change that. It will only make Brandon and Brian more frustrated and actually prolong the activity of that board. :-/
