I have bee using InvisionFree for a while now. And I have nothing against your service, it totally rocks. Your uptime is great, the modifications are always being added to. But one I find gets left out is the report service.

3 weeks ago I reported 2 forums. 1 forum was a warez forum and still is. They also provided downloads to game hacks and provided X rated material including passwords/videos and much more. The other forum also posted a lot of X rated material. There was even an incident where a lot of material involving minors was posted.

I reported these forums and yet they are still active with members sharing their links and files. I find this a great shame, as I said above when forums are posting material with offence to minors you would expect action to be taken immediatly against the forums in question. I certainly would never want my kids to stumble upon this site.

I understand with the release of ZetaBoards approaching your staff will be under a lot of pressure to complete this. But I feel that removing this content is far more important than any upgrade InvisionFree is planning and more resources should be focussing on the reports.

Like I said before I have no problems with your service, but I am always let down on the reporting.

Reports are done in batches, which is often the case of perceived delays. Additionally, Brandon personally attends to reported violations; the impending release of ZetaBoards is taking up quite a large chunk of his time. Reporting a board multiple times doesn't affect its chances of being closed--all it does is slow down Brandon, who has to mark the duplicate reports as such before going on to more reports.

We do investigate all reports thoroughly. However, we seldom contact those who report boards.

Even when it seems that no action has been taken, it may not be readily apparent because Brandon has contacted the board owner and/or taken other less overt steps prior to closure of the board.

Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall.

We don't deny the report system is a currently poor system, but there are plans for future improvements. Essentially this is how the report system works:

A report is submitted.
Brandon or Brian go through the reports and investigate and mark them as confirmed, dupicate, no violation or something else.
Brandon then goes through all the reports on weekends or whenever he has the time and he closes any of these boards with big violations. He does them all at once.

The reason for this slow system:

1) Reports have to be investigated. Many reports are rivals trying to get someone else in trouble and hurt them.
2) People send in multiple reports making more work for Brandon and Brian
3) The rest of the staff are mostly underage (Can't investigate certain reports like Adult content) and they can't close a board.
4) Brandon as you know has many jobs: Zetaboards, Reports, Premium Services, and then some other jobs I can't recall. So he does it when he has time.
5) Brian is married and has a job so his time is also fairly limited.

So about all I can say is that those boards will be closed, but there is no way to speed up the process at this time. Once Zetaboards is finished, a lot of things will improve.

Brandon can't win. He works towards ZB and people get 'annoyed' by reports taking a while to process, or he process' reports and people complain that ZB is taking too long. :(

The problem is, many people beleive that the Brandon has many staff members to help him in running the company, when in fact, he's be alone were it not for Brian.

I never said it wasn't.

Brandon doesn't make much/any money from IF, as any money made goes into maitenence. He couldn't hire staff as it costs money which IF hasn't got.

IF support staff are all volunteers.

Yes. In fact that's a type of violation that we remove immediately and forward to authorities where appropriate when we get word of them no matter how busy we are. If you wouldn't mind PMing me the text of the report you sent in, or the URL of the board if you no longer have the report, I'll make sure it gets looked into. I may have missed your report in processing the others.

Most of the staff are under 18, Stephen has already told the reason of this.

Anyone under 18 should not view pornographic or intense images, That is the law here in the U.S. and has always been that way since I have been around.

This is pretty much why none of the staff can touch this ticket, also, it includes the fact that as stephen said... only brian and brandon can close down boards.

Some states and countries have set the age restriction to 21 years of age. This really does limit the number of staff that can work on these kinds of situations.
