Is it illegal to re-direct an offline board, to a working board, to get members? Thanks. |

I personally don't think it would be and I have never seen anything in the T.O.S. about it. If so a lot of boards in the directory would have been gone a long time ago. |

There is no possible way that a Offline Board being directed to another board is against TOS. It's no way illegal or anything, anyways the board in question (for this case IFP redirecting to Factotum) shouldn't case any problems at all. |

I've read the T.O.S. again and again and have yet to find anything pertaining to it being against the rules. If you read the T.O.S. found here you will clearly see that. |

Wait till a staff member answers this, because it could be an unwritten rule. |

It would have to be a written rule, in that case it wouldn't be illegal.

I've seen this done before. It isnt against the TOS, as I've read the TOS plenty of times. Pats_rule is saying what if you close one board and make another. So, then you place the link to the other site to get the members to join the other one. |

Quantum-locked when observed.

There's nothing wrong with it. Technically you should also remove the offline board from the Board Directory, although what with the Board Directory being buggy, it is sort of like bailing out the Titanic with a sand pail. |

Someday I'll make a code. Really.

It should be window.location="link"; It's much better and cross-browser. |
