I had a problem with a member that had one of those programs that makes it so it never showed me his real IP adress, I closed down the board so he could not get on, now he has given up so I reopened my board, how would/did you handled it? did I do a good job or are there other ways. I am just wondering what you guys think.

Either that, or he just kept using a proxy, which changes your real IP address to something random.

I would have banned him(his real I.P will show up in the Admin CP) then activated Admin Evaluation, so he no longer could return.

some people have dynamic Ip's in their computer. He may not have known his Ip would be different all the time. My Ip is different all the time too, I don't have a computer of my own, I use public computers at different places.

I think it's better to be safe than sorry too.I have someone on my board right now that I would love to Admin. But I hate her boyfriend :-/ and I'm afraid about what he would do to my boards if he got mad at me or her. I decided just to make her a moderator on a certain board. That way he will only be able to do a little damage if he uses her account.

same thing, i had a member on my forum admin and his brother got onto his account {i never knew he had one XD} and my board looked worse then a war feild afterwards, but i did not bad him for it i just deproted him to mod, then he left... kinda odd i do not think he even had a brother XD lol.

but yes i agree that it is better to be safer then sorry. i just hope i do not have the same problems with another member that i did with this one.

lol, there's not much else you can do. To be honest, I guess except ban whoever causes problems. His resources of computers will slowly dwindle and begin to run low after awhile, I guess. And as long as hes not causing any problems, what should you care what he does with his I.P?
