anyone know whats wrong with my explorer?

so today.. i logged on the internet[ i have dsl connection btw] and you know the loading bar at the status bar? the one that is like [][][][][][]...

so it loads up to full, then it just PAUSES there for 2-10seconds. and finally it.. finally finishes loading. i do not have router, nor do i use firewalls.. anyone know what is wrong? im desperate here. >< thanks.

This is just a wild guess, but I noticed mine doing something similar the other day and it was because the site was struggling againt my popup blocker.
Or so it seemed, anyway.
It would hang there for a few seconds and then finally make the noise it makes when a popup is blocked.
But the only thing I can think of that would make it do it on every site is if you got some nasty spyware that's launching popups.

More unfounded advice would be to delete your temporary internet files.
I have no idea if that would help, but it couldn't hurt.

If you have another browser, you should use it and see if you get a similar problem and that would help determine if it's IE or something funky with your system or connection.
