I deff' think that there's something out there besides us. This universe is huge, something out there besides us exists, maybe like us, maybe not.

The universe is uncomprehendably massive. It is constantly expanding. I am sure that there must be life other than us. When a planet has water, life is to follow. Whether it be millions of times more advanced than us or as advanced as a skin cell, I don't know.

If other life forms know about us. That is a far more interesting topic.

But, you have to also put this into thought.

Maybe the lifeforms that are out there, don't need water or oxygen to survive or live.

Maybe some are not carbon based but nitrogen based?

From what I have seen. Scientists never look outside the box, all they are looking for are lifeforms that breathe the air we breathe and drink the water we drink. They never stop to think that there may be others out there that don't do that. They cannot live with oxygen and have to resort to carbon monoxide or dioxide?

Just a thought really.

Well, Nitrogen is a key part of our bodies, but Carbon is incredibly more complex. Only Silicon comes close to Carbon, so its more likely to be silicon based...

As for water, its an extremely good solvent, and seems to be better than any other molecule.

And there is life on Earth that does survive on CO2, plants use it to make glucose etc and some microorganisms do live directly off it, like we do with 02

Glad to see that people think we're not alone. And I have a theory on this...

Earth is one planet of many in an entire solar system. Our solar system is one of thousands in the galaxy. Our galaxy is one of hundreds in the entire Universe, and the Universe is expanding every day. Intelligent or not, on Mars or on the other side of the Universe, there are other life forms out there. It'd be ridiculous if there weren't.

1. Not a theory

2. not your "theory"
