Does anyone get very Self conscious when people laugh around you, or point or look at you? Personally, I do.

Some people just look at me. Some people say it's because I have a 'beach bum' look. But I am fairly good looking (Makes me sound modest) But everytime somebody looks at me I think of it badly. I don't like it. Same thing when people laugh when I don't know what they're laughing about. I just automatically think it's me.

I'm over this but I used to always think I smelled funny rofl, No matter how much I showered or anything I always was worried that I'd stink.

Just some examples, post yours here.

A quiet one eh? :) I'm naturally funny. And I'm well known, and Nobody really hates me or makes fun of me. It's just I'm still self conscious..

Yea, I used to be much more self-conscious a few years ago. If someone around me whispered or said something that sounded like my name, I would instantly think they were talking about me.

ie. Someone whispering "Merry Christmas!" might've been interpreted by me as "Christina sucks!" :P

Yes, I am that way too. When I'm walking around the University, and I pass through a group of people that suddenly start laughing, I tend to think they're making fun of me. I know it's not that way most of the times, since I laugh a lot with my friends too, but I always think it's because of me. I also tend to think I have something in my face, so I try to remove the imaginary thing and go as fast as possible to the nearest bathroom

Yeah I've been pretty self conscious before.

I've just learned to get over it though because usually something that you think it bad isn't as bad as you think it is. Even if someone is laughing at you you just have to move on.

I admit though, I still have the occasional moment when I think people can hear my thoughts.

Quantum-locked when observed.

Laughter is therapeutic; it's good for you. Thus, if people are laughing at me, who am I to say no? I'm improving their health. :)

Plus, I love self-deprecating humour. It's so much easier to get through life if you don't take it too seriously.

It is indeed. I notice that a lot. A girl in my class is quite slow and we were doing some advanced algebra and she couldn't get it at all where the rest the class was bored to tears, and every time she did something stupid and everyone laughed at her she laughed back.

I find it hard to do so.

I forgot about that one. It happens to me too, specially in very crowded places or buses >_<

Yeah, I get the feeling whenever I am the same room with a group of people who are hooting and laughing that they are directing their behavior towards me. But I try not to worry about it so much.

Who cares if they are laughing at me. At least it makes them happy.

Like Ben said. Laughing is a healthy thing to do.

Yes, I'm the same exact way. I get so anxious and self-conscious.

I really don't care what people think of me. And I don't think I've ever felt like people around me were talking about me.
