I need some advice on recovering some files deleted from my computer. Can anybody recommend the right software? Most of them are only a few weeks old, but some date back a year or two. Thanks in advance.

I believe using System Restore may also do the trick, but I find that people aren't fond of S/R for some reason.

Try Tune Up Utilities. They have a good file recovery system. You also get a free 15 day trial with all the commands available.

That doesn't restore "personal" files... only system files and the sort.

Mostly word documents and some family pictures.

Thanks for all the links posted, I appreciate the help. :)
