For anyone interested in astronomy like I am. Well you are going to find this article quite interesting.

http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/070823_huge_hole.html

Seems the hole is a good 6 to 10 billion lightyears from us and is 1 billion lightyears wide. I have already thought of one or two theories. But go on ahead and chat about it :)

I'm no pro at this sort of thing. But it interests me none the less. Theres so much to our universe we're never going to see it all. These are just pieces of the big puzzle in the end. I'm sure the Universe will lead us to something amazing.

Is it just an area of space with absolutely nothing in it? It sounds like that in the article.

i believe blackholes have dark matter. and this is strangely absent of it. Dark matter is everywere in the universe....

Are we going to pop?

Oh no. The article mentions they have found holes in the universe before, but not at this magnitude. My own theory on these holes being found goes with the theory of the "Big Crunch" ;)

black holes do not have dark/anti matter. All a black whole is, a star or planet that collapsed on its self from the gravity and at times will suck in planets stars and light.

Well we are either going to be ripped apart when the Earth collapses or we drift apart.
Either way we are doomed... :r

...In millions of years (fingers crossed).
