Meh, I don't like spiders but I'm not afraid of them. Actually these days I'm able to catch the things and get rid of them, never used to be able to though. When I was a kid I'd shriek like a girl and run away. ![]() Fear...hmm...the dark is still something that can freak me out. Not inside, outside; I don't mind too much walking around at night but I can get paranoid. The irony is that the resulting adrenaline rush feels great - not at the time but afterwards. There was a time when I was afraid of men and didn't like them touching me, which is a bit of a mullet when you're gay. I suppose I worry about my niece - well, I know I worry about her, just not sure if that's fear so much as familial concern.
Oh, that reminds me: the sea. Yeah, I really hate the sea. Not crystal, clear water but that murky stuff. Man that scares the hell out of me. >_< You know, when you see one of those documentaries with sharks and stuff and you only see the thing coming about a few seconds before it's in front of you. It's probably because I can't swim. :$ But still, scary mullet. And don't get me started on basking sharks. I know they're not exactly a threat to humans but they look like they could swallow you whole without even noticing. |

I'm not really afraid of anything; I'm the brave one in my group. Which is weird because I'm the smallest. I used to be really paranoid after I was stung by a scorpion the first night in an old new house. (I move around lots) I was looking behind my back for a few years. But I'm lucky, I tend to bounce back. I don't stay paranoid for years and years... I was petrified of jellyfish then too. I watched a documentary on man o' wars... that was creepy. I lived right on the Gulf Coast of Mexico at the time too. Speaking of documentaries, I couldn't watch the discovery channel after I saw something on the iceman when I was 8 or so. All I knew it was a zombie. >_< I know better now. And I was terrified of Brown Recluses after watching a documentary on them, Black Widows too. (Saw one the other weekend, it crawled back into the stop sign when I came near.) |

I would say I'm afraid of death, possessed girls, rejection, being in front of large audiences, and certain bugs. |
