As of 2005 my time online increased (before that time I was going out all the time). I found the internet more interesting, there's endless amounts of things you can do whilst sat at the computer ...it's great People who don't do it don't understand, thus I get some "stick" offa them, but people who do spend a few hours online understand and they agree. People still think hanging around on streets is fun and better (less "sad") than being on the computer, I personally disagree. I also come on the computer to avoid family sometimes (they can annoy me). Oh and Nicola, can't say I've ever sat at the computer in meh underwear but good example of how convenient being on the PC can be.PhranK, I want your room-mates job ... any chance he'll offer it up?

Nicola, I have done the same >.>; Btu anyways, the internet can be much more fun, its easier to find people with similar interests on forums, what do you do? go to google and type in "interest" forum! and you already have possibly hundred of candidates for friendship, but although the internet is preferable to life in many ways, its still better to get off and have a social life every now and again, in high school i could spend 10-12 hours a day on the computer, now, in college, I only spend like 5-6, I go out on nights, I'm up late, i have many friends in real life, and its much more fulfilling to have friends in real life, even if those online understand you soo much better ^^ |

And he's not kidding either... I was around here when server 13 went down... now that was quite the experience.... I surprised the staff then could take being on when you knew there would be countless whiny members complaining and fighting practically nonstop. I don't post much as of late mainly because the general support is down and I found it a nice pastime to go through the forum and try to help people out with problems with their board when I had some free time and if I knew what to do of course.

Server downtime is fun. I recall when one of the servers went weird one night and just me and Seth were around. That was interesting. All part of the job though, you take the bad with the good. It's the same with anything in life. I did a lot more surfing of forums when I had more free time, that's how I racked up a couple of thousand in my first year or two here. Now I tend to get online for a couple of hours a night, do support mostly and then surf around. I have some days of inactivity, which is actually helpful, stops me from burning out too quickly the way I have done in the past (for anyone who remembers BeatsalotJay :shifty:). I actually don't do as much on the internet as I used to; way back when I first discovered it it was kind of amazing, now I'm settled, know what I like, know where I like. I'm too rooted to spend hours just wandering around aimlessly all over. I wander around aimlessly on here now. ![]() And I do support exclusively in my underwear. There's something to think about next time I answer your ticket. Not really, just kidding. I sometimes wear a shirt.

ah s13. Thank god for Aaron and Sam. I'd have lost my mind if those two hadn't been around. I think Matthew counted over 200 trashed topics on s13. Worst time for a server to go down is definitely Christmas break. |

lol I remember when you all decided to actually allowe one pinned server topic and it got so out of hand... non stop complaining, whining and fighting that eventually caused that topic to first get moved from IF discussion to the forum games before getting removed entirely off of the board. Hopefully something like that won't ever happen again as it is hardly fun to be here when that is going on... XD Thankfully I was one of the people who owned a server 13 board back then that didn't act like a fool like so many others did.
