I don't know why, but things have been very weird for me, I've been having such scary dreams, and I'm worried have to death because so many of my dreams have come true, and I REALLY DON'T want these dreams to come true. Things like my family dying, my house burning down and other horrable things.....how do I stop these dreams? From coming back, or from coming true? :$ :'( -_-

They are just dreams. Don't worry about them. The things happened are just coincedences. You can't stop dreams. You can try to be constantly awake, but that's unhealthy. |

I'm just freaking out, I've had so many dreams about my house burning down, and me and my brother being the only one left. They just seem so real, and so scary. I wouldn't torture myself by not sleaping but, I wish I could have good dreams once in a while, I haven't had a good dream since I was little. |

Dream analysis also says that dream of death means you will have a new beginning soon so it can actually be a good thing. |

You might be in this kinda thing, but for a few years I had a dreamcatcher in my room and I never had nightmares the whole time it was there. It's worth a try |

This may be a stupid suggestion but stop watching scary movies (if you do) I know how you feel, I have been through this before. |

You might try going to a sleep center to get an evaluation or whatever they call it. My friend went to one for insomnia and said it really helped. And avoid the movie "Premonition". When your dreams come true, do things happen exactly like in the dreams or are things just similar? |

I also heard that one case of dreams is where you dream what you want to happen. I don't want to worry you, but maybe you might have some hurt feelings or other emotions that are expressed in dreams... indirectly. |

Most scientists will tell you what happened is that your brain is altering its own memory. You dream one night, and you really don't remember it. You wake up in the morning and then an event happens. You suddenly feel "woah, I dreamed this last night." Could be that you did. However, it's more likely that your brain just altered your memory of last night on the spot. Why? No idea. No one can explain this either way with definitive certainty. Now, I've had dreams where my cat was upset/sick/dying. I then woke up, walked downstairs, opened the door, and she was "dying" to come in. Do I think I'm magic, or my brain just made it up? No. I'd assume I figured out she wasn't there. She hadn't woken me (and was probably "meowing"), and being out all night probably made her upset. Now if you have a dream about a family member dying, and then they get hurt you should really ask yourself, "Are they sick? What was the probability of them getting hurt? Is it possible my brain just put together the pieces before me, and it was coincidence?" Your brain is most likely just putting coincidences together. If you dream of some lottery numbers, though, let me know. |

"Did you see any numbers?" "NO I DIDN'T!" [couldn't help it when I saw that] My personal belief goes against that however, as I don't believe in coincidences. Everything happens for a reason, I have had weird dreams before, and my mom has even had visions before. They all happen for a reason, even if we don't know what it is. |

With all this talk of hypnosis and whatnot, I think it best to point out that if you want to try something like that, get it proffessionally done or go to a Doctor's. These methods are probably not really all that neccessary unless these feelings and dreams go on for a prolonged period of time or you really feel that what is going on is out of your control! 2 suggestions. Firstly before going to sleep do things to make you sleep comfortably, get a nice hot water bottle and a mug of cocoa/hot chocolate to help you sleep-if you go to sleep happy you are less likely to dream bad things (in my opinion). Secondly it may be worth talking through some of whats happening with some of your family or close friends. Talking stuff out can really help in a lot of situations and it means there are more people to pull you through these bad dreams. If things don't get better and you can't stop yourself from having these dreams I recommend going to see a Dr. Hope thhey dissappear soon! |

Hahaha, I can't not go to sleep, my scedual is to full I wont have time to get sick. and I can't exactly go to a sleep center because I'm only 14, and my parents would first send me to a phsyco home, before a sleep center. I will try the dream cacher thing, were can I get one? |
