PS3 is my system, Since PS3 is owned by Sony and BLUray is Sony’s next high definition storage medium, the PS3 games will be stored on the BLUray discs which hold approximately 54 gigs. The Xbox 360 games will be stored on Double Layer DVDs which store 9 gigs. Obviously the BLUray discs can store a lot more data.

and you also have to look at the processing power, There is a debate over which system has more brute processing power, but overall it seems that the PS3 has an edge over the Xbox when it comes to overall processing power.

The PS3 can handle 51-billion dot product operations per second and the Xbox can handle 33.6 .

and which would i buy? well i already bought the ps3 and i like it. I actually would want to get a WII as well i heard they were very good. hopefully this christmas i would get it :P

The Xbox has an edge over the PS3 when it comes to graphical processing.

Both consoles have their strengths and weaknesses. Look at which one has the games you like as essentially it is the games that make the console.

On paper: PS3.
In practice, which ever suits your needs.

I personally think they both suck and the Wii is the best :P (the PS3 is too expensive and the 360 just sucks entirely).

True PS3 IS expensive but i think it's worth it. I mean you get to play -Ps1 - Ps3 games on it. and the games on it, well most of them are great. The only reason i probley might have got the xbox 360 was for one game called blue dragon. that would be it. Not games provided for xbox 360 intrest me except that one.

Blu-Ray discs don't hold 54GB. They hold 25 per layer, and currently the PS3 drive (to my knowledge) is only capable of single-layer discs, though the potential exists for it to handle up to octolayer discs giving a maximum capacity of 200GB.

If it's my opinion as to the best system, then the PS3 is a winner in "fancy gizmos that don't work"; the Wii is the winner of "I threw my remote at the TV"; and the 360 wins "Those twelve year olds are camping n00bs".

I'm the proud owner of a 360 and a Wii, but will not buy a PS3 until a game better than Resistance comes out as I don't see the point in lashing out all that money for one game.

Each system has its advantages over each other and there will never be such thing as a clear winner, despite occasional skirmish victories. However, the real selling points of each consoles are the games: 360 has Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect and a number of other games that just can't be topped. PS3 has Resistance, Motorstorm, and games that I can't pronounce the name of because I'm drooling too heavily. Wii is a no-brainer with Twilight Princess and MP3: Corruption.

VIVA LA PINATA

That is all. Transmission terminated.

The ps3 will always be better than the xbox360 and by the end of next year it will have released over 50 more games.

That's a matter of opinion.

I, personally, plan on buying a 360 soon. Many of my friends have one, so it makes sense. Multiplayer :D

Which is also available for 360.

And yes, it looks incredible. Definitely one of the first games I'll get. :D
