I think the peak of television anime was Pokemon. It was one of the first massively successful anime-cartoons, and since then I haven't found anything I like. Perhaps it's just because I'm older, and cartoons just aren't interesting anymore. I just wish I had all the money I spent on that fad back . . .

That was really a lengthy advertisement series, rather than a typical anime. Real, genuine animes from Japan are more than just "cartoons" for younger audience.

I'm not an anime fan, however I found Death Note to be quite enjoyable. Naruto, Dragon Balls, Bleach, and all the others don't really do anything for me.

Pokemon was good but on the tv DBZ was the best and had over 300 eps.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, however it seems Pokemon has had quite a few more episodes. Source.

I prefer series that have 26-52 episodes with better quality and pace.

I also like that but I don't prefer short anime. Claymore, Elfenlied, etc... are good short anime.

See THIS is what I was talking about. Pokémon is NOT an advertisement, and if you've seen the Japanese version you would know it's not a kid's cartoon either.

Dragon Ball Z is a good anime and pokemon is okay. But what would be cool is if the fans made the anime DragonBallAF. The fans have already made the manga for DragonBallAF

I was responding to Das. Obviously he's used to the version they showed in US, which is watered down, which was what I refered to in context. Did you not catch "real genuine animes from Japan part"?

That's not what anyone else implies about Pokémon

All good stories have to go to an end, and GT was already a terrible enough series. It's fine the way it is!

Read my post again. I said that the watered-down version in USA is, for the large part of it, an advertisement series that's not like genuine Japanese animes. If I didn't make it clear before, I think it would have better quality if you see it as a genuine Japanese version. They probably took it and turned it into something that's only an overly long advertisement with plot inferior to those of genuine animes. The series started out as all right, but got old rather quickly, and hasn't recovered until the very recent seasons (and that's only an assumption).

If you still disagree with me, then I'm afraid that I can't go on any further. I stand by to think of that as advertisement.

Well, the first season was more of an advertisement, but I don't think the others are. They're too different from the games to be an advertisement anymore.

BUT, Z was supposed to be the ending! GT has nothing to do with Akira Toriyama, all he did was design some of the characters!

So therefore, it isn't canon!

DBGT was to the fans because they want another series after DBZ.

This argument is losing its quality. Obviously one person here likes DBGT, another doesn't. Leaving it to end in DBZ would have a cleaner ending, but DBGT had a merit of its own.

Can we just stop there, or do you have anything significant to add?
