I had 109 infected files, 17 viruses and 12 back door trojans.

I never used an anti virus program in my life lmao.

Not as bad as me before my last hard drive crash. I had about 260 total files infected and about 50 viruses or trojans. Now I have virus protection. :D

The Sasser Virus for what you described is as simple as just ending the scvhost.exe. I was playing around with ending tasks once and when I ended that, it comes up. Never end it. ;)

One time I got a worm (don't know how), but it infected EVERY .exe file. A complete formatting and restoration of my computer was necessary. I'm used to restoring my comp though, I have done it about 10 times already. :S

Recently, my computer was eaten alive my tons of Spyware. I would get about 20 pop-ups just opening my browser and my homepage constantly was changing. This spyware was very hard to catch, I had to get a certain kind of Spyware removal program to catch it all.

DO NOT USE AD-AWARE by Lavasoft, it doesn't work very well. I have used that and trusted it for a long time, but once I got this spyware, it only detected about 1/8 of my spyware. Please use Spybot Search & Destroy (it's free, do a search for it). That prog detected a LOT more spy-/adware (about 200 cases)

Check the attached picture to see how many viruses I get in my bulk mail... How they got my email address I don't know. Was it YOU?!

its an annoyance virus....god i hate windows!  SOO MANY HOLES!!

*Flips Off Bill Gates and his low lever programmers*

Well, the first Trojan Horse for Mac OS X was just announced recently. Although it may be only the second threat to the OS X system in a little less than three years, it lets you know the OS X system isn't as invulnerable as it seems.

Here's the info about the Trojan.

[EDIT: And by the way, I found a site that gives you a decent walkthrough of getting rid of Sasser, although I'm sure you guys have already found the right resource at the right time already: Here]

An 18-year-old German high school student has admitted creating the Sasser internet worm, police say. The worm spread through an estimated 18 million computers across the world last week, continually shutting down and rebooting them.

Occasionally I get a pop-up that turns the whole screen blue, then it says, "Sasser.d worm detected. Click OK to scan and disinfect". Luckily I know that it is just a pop-up now, because it doesn't give a countdown. I got that pop-up twice this morning, and multiple times before, but I've been on the internet for almost an hour and nothing happened.

Hes a talented programmer, though malicious in his methods. being a programmer myself i know how high of an intellegence level this 18 year old must have to be able to find and exploit this windows hole.

Not that i think its a good thing.
