Not my favorite band, yet not my least favorite. I really like that kind of music and so I enjoy Metallica. I even try and learn there songs on guitar, currently I have "seek and destroy" down. Lol, that isn't a lot but I will learn more... B)

I've been a fan of Metallica since about 1985 (yes I'm that OLD!)

I remember the days before music videos (They'll NEVER, EVER make one and sell out to MTV!!!!)

I remember Cliff Burton.

I remember when they were musical rebels who were one of the wolds most popular heavy metal bands but couldn't get radio airplay.

I remember when they were good and didn't release garbage like St. Anger <_<

they grew up and evolved with the Black Album, Load, ReLoad.

St Anger isn't even remotely NEAR the quality of a Metallica album, IMO, and does not reflect in any way the style and uniqueness they once possessed.

But I'm old, and I don't like change :P

i only enjoy music that incorperates talent and metallica is my fovorite because they f-ing rip, the best guitarist alive, and had the best bassist ever, lars is god on drums, and to top it all off JAYMZ is GOD the best vocalist and songwriter ever not to mention he is cool as {Swear Word}, and they make ya feel good man its just the kinda music that hits you in soul and gives you a good f-ing feeling man, i love that i dont wanna here about ur money or cars, and i dont wanna hear about the fact that ur GF left you, i wanna hear music that effects me sh*t that i can relate to and sh*t that gives me hope that there is always gonna be problems but itll get better man and MetallicA is the symbol of that and their song dyers eve got me thru sum really really tuff f-ing times

I love MetallicA to death, they are the f'in shite, one of my favorite bands. I own all the albums and whatnot but I kinda disagree with what you said. Kirk Hammet is definetely not the greatest guitarist, there's guys like Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteem, and Joe Satriani, etc. that can shred better. Cliff Burton was an awesome bassist, he's why I play bass, and I'm not gonna argue. Lars has never been considered a god on the drums, and rightfully so, but I'll say that he fits right into Metallica's style. But, James is definetely the greatest frontman (although Mustaine's a better Rhythm guitarist), and he's incredible.

But either way, I love these guys to death, but I hope they don't f up and make another St. Anger. Now that they hvae Rob maybe he'll help them.
