That's what I said, he died for our sins i.e. for us. But that doesn't mean we wouldn't be here without him. We (humans) were here before Jesus...That's all I'm saying. That I didn't understand what you were getting at with "how were your parents born?" and all that.

And no I don't believe in Christianity but I still respect people who do.

I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ. I have respect for others religons but if you aren't muslam or islamic or any of the other religions and you just don't believe in Jesus because you have no proof there is proof. How where you born? How were your parents born? They born you, what about your parents, parents. They born your parents but really Jesus born all of us. Techincally your mother borns you but Jesus really died for us and Jesus born his whole god made creation. If Jesus didn't die for us, where would you be? Not born. Exactly my point. Jesus born us all if your waiting for proof, pray for something, wait a little time. It will come true. Talk to Jesus and read the bible.

According to Christianity weren't Adam and Eve the first people? Wouldn't all of us be "borned" from them?
And I'm pretty sure people would still be around if Jesus never existed. I'm Chinese, my people never believed in Jesus (or God, for that matter) and we're perfectly fine.

There are plenty of people with sick grandparents/parents who pray for their health. But more often then not, they never get healthy again and eventually die.
I could pray right now to be invisible and have Superman-level strength. But will that ever be granted? I don't think so.

Have you ever watched Bruce Almighty? If everyone in this world got what they prayed for, then no one would ever die, we'd have more ponys that people, everyone would be superman, We'd all win the lottery, criminals would run amok, and the world would collapse. God does not answer the prayers for selfish wants. He gives us what we need. God is not a Santa Claus that gives material things to good people and nothing to nonbelievers. Also, you said that people will pray for sick grandparents, but what are the grandparents praying for. They've lived their lives, and they want to see their heavenly home. I'd say they're praying for death, to an end of their suffering.

Are you insane? They pary for their lufe to be guieven back to them. I take it you have nver watched some one die of cancer and prayed dialy for their pain to go away.

My grandmother wwnated to live. She wnated to see us get married and have happy lives. I was praying that she would be helthy and happy again. At the end I never wanted to visit her. We were all just crying.

She was not ready to go to her heavanly home. She was not done helping our own family. She was still to young. I miss her. She was not there to help me and my mother thourough a hard time.

Go to an elderly home where they are sick. Ask them if they are asking for more of thier lives to be able to be lived. I bety they are asking dfor thier suffering to end, but not to reach their hevanly home.

I know that but you have to be resonable.

I'm Catholic.

I just have to ask all these people who say there's no proof of God: explain how there is absolutely nothing, and all of a sudden there's this big bang, creating a universe? How can a universe jsut pop into existense?

It's already been talked about - it's the idea of the universe being infinite where everything happens at some point in time. Pretty sure it was already went into more detailed than I can offer, read back a ways.

Then you follow the religion of atheism, so you are something. :geek:

I would argue nothing isn't atheism. Atheism generally is the disbelief in God(s) whereas nothing is...well nothing. Apathetic to the issue and just unreligious.
