I do have my own system of beliefs, for your information I dont just follow the church. Why do so many people think that Christians are just these people that do what all the other Christians and dont have a mind of their own. And not just Christians either..Dude, you can be in an organized religion and still have your own mind and not be a robot. |

Maybe not all of you are robots that act like they are the only people with the "only real" religion. However, there are still others out there like that. They are out there saying that Christianity is the "only" religion. These folks are blind. First of all, it isn't the only one. There is Atheism, Wiccan, and tons of other things. Also, Christianity wasn't even the first religion. If it had to be created, that tells you something right off the bat. I mean, cavemen didn't believe in God, so who made him up? Who thought of God in the first place? The people that think they are the best things since sliced bread are the ones that society needs to beware of. And by the way, sliced bread isn't all that great. EDIT: Also, people are too easily influenced by the church. I swear, most folks will believe anything that a priest says. |

About Jehovah's Witnesses...although I totally disagree with their religion, I have a very good friend who is a JW, and I would never call her stupid for it. Just to clear some things up... First of all, JW's do NOT believe that only 2000 people will go to heaven. The number is actually 144,000. And JWs do understand that. They believe that there are only a handful of people left here today that will still go to heaven. Everyone else will live forever on the earth in peace. JWs believe that accepting a blood transfusion is like a really really bad sin. They aren't allowed to accept one even in a life or death situation. Those parents weren't necessarily EVIL. They were just firm in their MISGUIDED BELIEFS. Would a loving God really have us DIE over something as trivial as a blood transfusion? Ha. On a sidenote, JWs use an edited version of the Bible. Scriptures have been twisted. The name JEHOVAH has been replaced with God in every single instance. Jesus is said to have died on a pole rather than a cross. They say Jesus is actually an angel, not the Son of God. They also don't celebrate holidays, not because the Bible says not to (it doesn't), but because people 'of the world' celebrate them. There is also 1 or 2 instances where a ruler did something really bad on their birthday and so JWs think celebrations are bad. JWs also believe that Jesus Christ returned to earth in the form of the Watchtower magazine in the year 1914 and has been present in it ever since. Ha. They also believe that one cannot get to heaven by reading the Bible alone. They must also read the watchtower magazine. The Watchtower Magazine has made many false prophesies before that never came true. How can it truly be the Christ? ha. what a joke. Oh, and um the reason JWs go door-to-door all the time is because they believe they will die in the Armageddon if they don't. Oh, and they think Christians were sent by the devil. Trav |

JV's are well the religion is kinda ****** up in my minf. Another "chrsiatins" as JV are still under the umbrella of chrsitianity that is rather fuked up is Mormonisims. If JVs use and alterd bible so do they. Mormons are so strict. It scares me. Trav, I am so happy for your miricle. Have you ever seen the show Its a miricle? I used to wtach it every night. i think your mom should submit it as a story. I do admire you for being so into your belifs. Not many christains that I have encounterd can explain clearly to me why they believe in what they believe. I agree that organized religion is not a good thing. Its not nessicarily evil. just mis guided. For some peoepl the structure of belifs is good. I was never a rel strict follower of Christianity. I believd in jesus (and still do) and I believe that you could get to hevan if you followed his tecahings. Not worshiped him. I never believed in Hell or Satan. It just never made sence to me. Why would such a loving god create a place of pain and suffering fr those who do not follwo his word completly. WQould that mean that all the jews would go to hell ebcause they dont belive e in Jesus? I could never undertand that and I dont think I ever will. I said perviously in this post that I still belive in Jesus and that he was a graet man and a greta tecaher. And the son of God. However My God is not the Chrsitain God. he is the Horned God of the wilderness. hes not exactly a son eaither. I see Jesus as the human form of the Hornd God(one where he does not have stags legs and horns) and he can still conumicate with his spiritula diety form. I still cleerbrate christmas but I celerbrate it differently. In my mind I am celerbratign Yule. Which in the Neo-pagan definiation is the time where the God is being reborn for the comming spring where he shall then grow. The god in my neo-pagan religion dies each year at Samhain (halloween) and is reborn again in December. The Goddess never dies. Infact in my belifs she was the one that created the God. She needed consort so she dances the rythom of life and created him. Magic (our aryers and the abilities to manipulate the enegries of the earth)was gievn to the first seleect group of elderly women. She told them to tecah it to younger gnerations. They were healers and herbalists. Never witches. Those with the knowlage of the earth and the spirits are our guides here. I espect them,. While I honro and reconize no head of a church I hornor teachers and those with more knowlage and wisdom of the craft then me. |
