Since Shaq was traded, the Lakers have fallen apart. Just last night, the Lakers lost to the Wizards. IMO, the Wizards aren't that great of a team, and the Lakers lost by 4 points in OVERTIME. Kobe had an allstar perfomance too. With 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists you cant go wrong. If the Lakers had Shaq, this would have been a blowout. Kobe is having 30-40 point games, and his Lakers still lose to not-so-great teams. What is your view on this? |

TO be honest, I have no clue why the Lakers have not done well at all this season. Of course they lost Shaq and that had something to do with it but, they have 5 players that are in double figures for points. And, Kobe averages almost 30 points per game. The Laker's starters average 74 points per game... Their bench averages 24 points per game... that mgiht be what's too blame. They have a great starting 5 but once you get into the bench it goes downhill. Another reason is most likely size. They are in the West which has soem of the biggest player sin the league. The Lakers just dont have enough size to compete with the Spurs and T-Wolves. I wish that the Lakers could find out their problem and develope a solution for it.. and fast. Tehre are plenty of games left in the season, im'm just hoping that the Lakers can pull it together.

He's basically the team, he has the assists, rebounds, and the high scores. something was wrong with the Kobester last night. he had 11 points and was 2 for 16. The lakers also lost to the Memphis Grizzlies... another not so great team IMO. |

They were never that good. Shaq held them together. His presence on a team affects how they do. Look at the heat, third or fourth best record in the NBA because of him. They are on a 13-game win streak (although Dwayne Wade helps just as much as Shaq does). I think the major teams competing for the crown this year are the Suns, Spurs, T-Wolves, and maybe the Sonics. Possibly the Heat as well. The Lakers have reached the end of their rope. It's over for them. Go Spurs and Rockets.

To be hoenst Phyrro, I must disagree on some of your points. One point I disagree with is sayign that the Lakers were never good. I believe youw ere talking about the 8 years that they had Shaq... so if you were I think you're wrong. When the Lakers won the three championships they survived soem extremely challenging games. The teams in 2000, 2001 and 2002 were very talented back then and they beat them all when they won the three titles. Let's not give them too little credit when credit is due to them. ![]() Another thing I disagree with is saying that the Heat are good because of him. I feel Dwayne Wade deserves just as much credit. he has been playing emotionally hard and physically hard. IMO, Wade deserves alot of credit for the Heat's success... it could just be me though. Another thing I disagree with is your picks for whose competing for a title. I don't think that the heat are a possibly... they are a yes IMO. Let's just look at it this way, if they make it out of the east, which is lookign pretty sad right now, and they go to the championship series, they have a very very high chance at winning the title. So, what im really saying is that the Heat have an extremely high chance of winnign the east then they have a 50% chance of winning the championship series, so I would not count them out. ![]() ![]() |
