It sometimes happens when you open the Cd-ROM. or the virus TROJ.09APCHE or something simmilar has infected the file C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM/phtt08.dll or phewnd.dll :geek: .

Also, never ever use SP2. I used it and after 2 days, my system froze like hell. All the programs where not responding 5 minutes after i useit. And it was installed along with my comp. Good thing i got to uninstall it and it became better.

SP2 caused me problems too. All of which were resolved after uninstalling it :).

Same, it was either Photoshop or SP2, i think we all know the winner there!

For all of those that say SP2 froze your computer, you probably didn't get rid of virueses before installing SP2, and/or you have a crappy system and it can't handdle sp2. Bottom line is....I can NOT uninstall it...so find me another way to stop the reboots.

Yeah,

Make sure your GFX Drivers are updated. Not just a recent GFX Card but go to the home page and get the drivers.

Uninstall SP2 if you have it. It goes crazy sometimes :)

Read my above posts, I have every updated driver, and I can't uninstall sp2.

Kill me now.
I would recommend just checking windows update to get any security patches that they might have to see if it fixes the problem..

well, excatly the same thing happened to my computer few month ago. I thought it was the cpu ova heating......and then a lot of ppl suggested that it's that i don't have enough ram *u got plently of ram* and someone else suggested that it's that i have a faulty mother board. So before i got around buying another mother board. the computer doesn't restart as often now. so i just left it. anyway....it might also be the Power supply's problem....like your powerpack's faulty.....
