I am watching a movie in school on a girl that starts exercising and loosing weight, she is not eating either. She then thinks it's cool because people keep giving her compliments on her weight loss, finally her mothers friend and her mother are at the gym and she says that she had someone spy (pretty much) on the girl and that person said that she was anorexia. She is really really bony and it's discusting.

I was wondering if anyone here is anorexia and would really admitt it. You can die from anorexia, if you are, eat and get back to your normal ways!

Anorexia is when you (most common among girls, usually dancers or models) think you're fat, so they starve themselves thinking that they'll look better. They usually end up starving to death, and it's a very sad thing.

Another form of an eating disorder is bulimia, where instead of starving herself, they eat a lot, and then force their bodies to vomit. In this case, bulimic girls don't usually look bony, just normal, or sometimes even a little overweight.

I should know this because I've had a lot of friends with eating disorders, and I also became very close to having one early last year.

I don't have either, but my mom thinks I do :ermm: because in the summer I don't eat much and she thinks I'm trying to lose weight by it.

starving yourself doesn't do any good anyway. Your metabolism slows down because your stomach tries to save the little food it has. When that person starts eating again, they most likely plump up again, maybe bigger than before.

I don't think I would ever have an eating disorder. I'm thin enough as it is and I have a fairly high metabolism..

I think that my aunt has one of those eating disorders where she makes herself throw up :/

Nope. Why spend money on food to only throw it up again?

I don't have a disease, because I don't completly starve myself. I sometimes will skip a meal (most of the time, it's breakfast) because of time constraints, but It's no disease

I like to skip dinner before karate or jogging, because then I feel sick, but my mom makes a big deal out of it.

I don't think I'll ever be anorexic...I can't even get fat to begin with. I eat and eat and eat but my high metabolism makes it all go away... :P

Anorexic people are stupid. If you want to kill yourself, go ahead. If you're stupid enough to think you're fat when you're only 90 pounds you probably aren't contributing much to society.

Wow, that came out meaner than expected.
