This should be the right place to post this. Also, this topic will probably only apply to guitar players. And stuff...

Well, I decided the other day that the amp that I had was no good. It has very limited effects (Bass/Treble, Echo, and Volume, :ermm: ) I get lots of feedback, and its very old. Ever hear of a Stradolin 530? Yea, I can't even find a google result for it :/ .

My budget is $60-$100. A decent sounding amp with distortion, effects, and all that crap to make my guitar playing sound better. I want something that won't fall apart on me either :) I'll most likely not get the amp I want for that price, but whatever.

Well, anyone got some suggestions?

Pawn shops usualy have some awsome deals, but if you want something new for that price go for a crate. You're not going to get anything spectacular for that price, but it has overdrive atleast. Also if you want more effeects try buying an effects peddle.

yea, I wish I had a little more money to spend. I don't know about pawn shops, though. I knew a guy who bought a really cheap drum set, and it broke on him. Yea, he probably should've been smart and checked it first, but its just the fact of the matter, i geuss.

As for effects, I just need some good distortion, and all that crap. Most likely i will end up buying a peddle, but whatever.

I bought a realy new PA from a pawn shop and it rocks. You never know what your going to get though when you buy from one.

For that money id go for this crate

Two of my friends have old versions of it which they still use when they're just messin around. It's actualy a pretty good amp with some decent features.

awesomness! I'll have to check out my local music shop thing, and see if they carry that. I'll be able to preview it before I actually buy it  Looks pretty good to me though.

I'll have to stop by some pawn shops that i've been to before, see if they have anything. I have an idea which one to go to.

^ same as him. And distortion pedals are pretty cheap, so it shouldn't matter if it doesn't have too many effects.

I wouldnt reccomend posting here... this isnt a guitar forum, but anyways around 100 you really cant get anything. You definitely will want above 50 watts for any small gig, and thats what you need to at least be heard with a drummer.

That being said, anything around that price range will be around the same quality, Fender and Crate are good choices. But for a little extra the Line 6 Spider series is very good.

I was aware of this before I posted, but at the time I was like, eh it has over 40,000 people, at least one of them is going to know how to play guitar.

Yea, I don't need anything too big, its just for practicing. I'll be going tomorrow to my local guitar shop. I'll see what i see.
Even though i have an amp already, i don't want the enormous feedback its giving me.

It might be your guitar, if your running single coil PU's, then that can be a huge factor.

I have 3 coil's and it does it anyway with my acoustic as well as my electric.

Its not the greatest guitar, but it does its job. It's a Peavey Predator plus, if that says anything.

Well yea, acoustic (Fishmans, Preamp filth stuff, general acoustic PU's) PU's are basically single coil things, and anyways it would add feedback to ANY amp if its not a real acousticly tubed amp.

You may just want to try getting an FX processor, something digital that will basically transform your guitar frequency's to digital stuff. That way you can get cool tone, at a cheap price.

Check out the Digitech processors.
