Ok folks, I'm in a Halo 2 tournement, and I need some serious help with any tips that you can give me. Any websites that show multiplayer tricks, level maps and weapon locations, etc. I've got some great teammates that know how to play, but anything I can use will be of the utmost importants. Also, I need a team name. Make it really good

tip one : get the sword. it is the single best piece of hardware out there, infinate MP ammo, no recoil, and one handed (preserves nades), plus it looks dead sexy, if facing the sword keep backing up

tip too: if youve got the battle rifle aim between the shoulder blades (front or back) the kick will send the final 2 of its 4-bullet shot into the head.

tip three: jump often, especially in combat. if the dude your fighting is using smg's its difficult to align the recoil with a moving foe.

try to get in some time alone or with friends in the levels. just practice finding the sword and learing navigation

hope that helps... im only a rank 7 so im nothing special :'(

I got some Halo 2 tips for you...

1. If someone is trying to run you down with a Warthog or Ghost try and turn your back to them and when they come close to you in their vehicle try and jump over them, if they turn around do the same thing again but steal their vehicle.

2. The way I win in multi-player matches is by sniping. I'm godly when it comes to sniping. Get yourself a Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, or a Carbine and find yourself a good vantage point from where you can see most of the battle field yet your opponents can not find you to eaisily. Once you are there with your weapons start putting caps in peoples heads. :P

3. Try and stick your opponents with plasma grenades as muh as possible, that is one way to ensure a kill on an opponent.

4. If someone has a plasma sword and they are trying to attack you with it keep backing up and start chucking some plasma grenades at them. If you kill them take their sword and put in work.

For more tips on Halo 2 try looking at IGN.com. As for your team name go with Barney Lovers. :P

Ok, maybe some rules to the tourney will help.

Rules for the Tournament:
1 player from a team play 8 man ffa to determine team rankings. If amount of teams is 8 and under just do one ffa. If more than 8, split in half and play 2 rounds, top 4 goes to next round. Rank by when they were eliminated and what place they came in.

ffa settings:
Default Slayer, except change to - 50 Kills, Battle rifle to start no secondary weapon.

maps: colossus, ascension, beaver creek, zanzibar (players agree or flip for it)

After determining team rankings, place in standard bracket and play double elimination. When placing teams in losers bracket after a loss, try to keep teams from playing the same team as long as possible. Each match is best 2 out of 3.

Team Game Settings:
Teams can chose from the following game types for their game and can choose different type each round. Teams can decide to have radar on or off on their game during classic ctf and ts matches. If a 3rd game (tiebreaker) is needed, flip to see who chose game type between team slayer or 3 plots and the other team chose map and radar option. All team settings are default (including weapon) and the following changes on each game type.

Territories - 3 plots 10 minutes to win:
maps: midship, colossus, lockout, ascension

Assault - neutral bomb: default settings except switch in quick options to 3 to win, 2 minutes per round
maps: ivory tower, midship, beaver creek

ctf - classic: default settings except switch in quick options time limit to 15 minutes
maps: (win by most caps, if tie, game is tie, a tie and a win, wins the match)
beaver creek, colossus, midship, foundation

Team Ball: default settings except in quick options 5:00 to win.
maps: lockout, ivory tower, ascension.

Team Slayer: default settings.
maps: any of the above maps plus zanzibar.

Known and some not known glitches are not allowed. Definitely flags and balls through walls are not permitted with the exception of start of team ball at lockout, grabbing ball from bottom.

You can use xbox and nyko controllers only without programable/turbo buttons.

Do not quit out of games without permission, especially when a ref is trying to get scores or to try to get a restart.

All rules are subject to change/creation at officials discretion. breaking any rules will subject you and your team to penalties up to disqualification.

ok first of all never use the sword as your primary weapon. Although it is easy to get kills with, you either have to sneak up on them or jump down on them. If your in a fire fight with the sword, your screwed. Get a good combo of dual weapons (i.e. SMG/Magnum, SMG/Needler, Magnum/Magnum, etc.) If you have the SMG/Plasma Pistol, load up the pistol and use your first shot with that to take down their sheild and then waste them with the SMG. Another thing, use grenades, if you have plasmas, stick them to people, frag grenades are good to bring down sheilds. Also try not to stay in the open, there are plenty of snipers ready to pick your brains. Always try and get oversheilds/active camo. Make sure you get the first shot in all your fire fights. If someone is a vehicle, try and get a rocket launcher and lock on to them. If you are playing CTF, prepare your base before going after the flag. Get the warthogs at all entrys, move the banshee so it's blocking something, take the tank to the front of the base and have someone sit in there ready to make some noise. Finally, always make sure you know where your teammates are at all times. It is eaiser in Halo 2 with the markers over them. When you see that they are being fired upon, haul *** over there to help them, or you might catch one of the other teammates with their sheilds down.

Good luck :)

cool, no it's not on live, it's literally live at the convention center at the city nearby. There will be public exposure, and TV teams too, ready to catch us win or screw up.

anyone know some maps and stuff?

"midship, colossus, lockout, ascension"

Midship is a small and hectic map, be ready for fire fights. Keep weapons that can spray and kill.

Colossus, keep hidden. You'll be exposed easily. Also it's a huge map.

Lockout, like Halo's "Prison". Keep weapons that can be fired fast and reloaded pretty quickly. This will involve a lot of jumping.

Ascension, is just a map where it can be a bloodbath or hell trying to find eachother. :arr:

Here are some Tips for while playing assult on the headlong level (the city level with the broken bridge in the middle)

Defense: While on defense, first run to where the bomb platform is, then a level up from that there should be some boxes right below a window, jump on the boxes & go out the window, take a right and there is a rocket launcher. Or, take a left and there should be a beam rifle (alien sniper) Now, where that alien sniper is, be sure and guard that area because it is a usual hot-spot for the bomb carrier to come in through (note that he may be wearing active camo)

If your teamates have allready gotten the rocket and alien sniper and is both gaurding those areas, then you should dual wield with two plasma riffles. Once you have both plasma riffles there should be a wall with a window straight ahead of the bomb platform. Kneel there. (note that while kneeling you are not seen on the enemies radar) Aslong as your team does those specific things, you should be allright, just make sure that no one goes to far from the base.

Offense: If you are the bomb carrier, be sure that only one team mate goes along the same rout as you.

ROUT ONE: go up the ramp, and go all the way to the right so that you are going outside on a walk way. Have your partner grab the sniper riffle that is there and procede moving forward. just ahead in the next room there should be some active camo, you grab it, not your partner, and then proced following the path. You and your partner should both be crouching as you walk so you are undetected by your enemies radar. Have your partner with the sniper make sure that the other team isnt gaurding that area with the alien sniper like i mentioned earlier. If there is an enemy simply have your partner take him out. By time you reach this point, your team should have allready infultrated the base and should make it clear for you to enter.

ROUTE TWO: Go up the ramp and keep going straight outside, to the left there should be a portal, go through it. Now, using the same basic guidlines as befor, once you get through the portal, take a left into the entrence. There you will find some stairs, go down the stairs and to the right. While you are there, wait untill your team has fully infultrated the base.

ROUTE TREE: Suicide!!!!! Get into the wart-hog and then just drive there! (Not recomended)

I could have gone into much more detail, but i didnt feel like typing any more than i had to. I hope i made that easy to understand, if not simply ask for me to clarify on specific parts. Good luck with your tournie!

Also, please excuse my spelling errors. B) :geek:

No, don't jump often, unless you're trying to avoid a grenade or whatever. Trust me, the first thing your opponent sees is somebody jumping around the map. The idea is to NOT be seen. ;)

True, and actually, when a person sees sniper bullets flying through the air, odds are their first instinct is to jump around, but that actually gives the sniper a better oppertunity to put a piece of led right through the helmet.
